"There's no point in talking to a petrified person. She won't hear a word you're saying." Madam Pomfrey remarked.

"We know that, Madam Pomfrey. It's just that we thought...maybe, we could be with her for a bit. She's our friend and even if she cant hear us...I mean it cant hurt can it?" Ron asked.

Madam Pomfrey gave the children a sympathetic glance and sighed.

"Very well then. But be quick about it."

She left to go help some other children. (y/n) sat next to Hermione's bed and stared at her. She secretly hoped that Hermione would just wake up and everything would go back to normal. Ron was going through the things by her hospital bed.

"You don't think Lockhart could be the heir of Slytherin, do you?" Ron asked.

"Seriously? Lockhart? The most incompetent person at Hogwarts?" (y/n) asked.

"Right...just forget I said anything." he replied. He picked up the mirror on her bedside table and stared at it.

"Wish you were here, Hermione. We need you now more than ever." Harry said, staring at the girl.

"I bet she would've already figured this out by now. She'd have found some book in the restricted section or something." Ron remarked.

(y/n)'s head picked up, staring at her friends dumbfounded.

"Wait, I might have something that could help us." she mentioned.

The other two stared at her in interest as she stood up, motioning for the two to follow her. They walked out of the hospital wing and began walking down the empty corridor. (y/n) reached into her bag and pulled out her notebook, flipping through until she found the page that had been wedged into it.

   "What's that?" Harry asked.

"My dream journal. All the dreams I had last year connected in some way to what happened with Professor Quirrell. So this year I started keeping a journal. But the other night this page just appeared inside my notebook. I didn't have time to read it at the time and I don't know where it came from, but it's picture matches the one I've been seeing in my dreams." she explained, holding up the page.

Harry took the paper and scanned his eyes over it.

"'Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the Basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye. Spiders flee before it and only the crowing of the rooster can kill it.'" he read.

"In my dreams it had yellow eyes, every time I would look at it my dream would end or everything would go dark." (y/n) explained.

"So you can just...tell the future with your dreams?" Ron asked.

   "I don't know, I guess." she remarked.

"And you never told us?" Harry asked.

"I'm still not sure how it all works." (y/n) replied.

"Well what else have you dreamed about?" Ron asked.

"I dreamed about a boy, he was older and he went to Hogwarts. He was controlling the Basilisk." (y/n) described.

"The Heir of Slytherin." Harry deduced.

   "Who was it?" Ron asked.

"I don't know. I've never seen him before." (y/n) responded.

"But wait. If the Basilisk kills people by looking into their eyes, why is everyone only petrified?" Ron asked.

Harry thought about it for a second but it soon hit him.
