Trigger warning (Depression, Suicide, self-harm etc.)

Kaede was the first to wake up again. At this point it has been about 5 hours of attempting the tunnel and you were bored out of your mind, too scared to fall asleep, scared that someone would get hurt. After everyone had woken up the tunnel was filled with groans of pain and Kokichi's childish whining. Kaede gave another inspirational speech but this time the others weren't so quick to follow her.

"We've been doing this for hours. I don't wanna go again. I'm already sooooooo sore." He drew his words out in an attempt to be even more whiney. "(Y/N) please, save us." Kokichi was moaning again as per usual. He sounded like a child who didn't get there way even after throwing a tantrum. You just shrugged your shoulders at him and smiled, amused by his childish antics. He lowered his head in defeat.

"Nyeh. This tunnel is just such a pain." Her voice was so monotone like she was too tired to feel emotions.

Eventually, Kaede somehow convinced everyone to try again. She was strong-arming them into doing what she wants.

At this point, you were so tired you could barely keep your eyes open. You took off your hoodie, folding it into a makeshift pillow and lay down.

I'm not gonna fall asleep. I'm just resting. Not sleeping. Those words were on repeat in your mind but the boredom and lack of sleep the previous night were getting to you.

If I fall asleep someone could be murdered and it would be my fault. What if someone needs medical attention and I'm just sleeping. Worry seeped into your mind invading your thoughts and taking over all your other emotions. You knew deep down it was because you didn't want to have another nightmare. The urge to sleep was clawing at you. The black inky hands of unconsciousness slowly forced their way upon you and the world around you grew dark.

Silence. Calm. Serenity.

Slowly, dim light filled your vision. Your eyes fluttered open to the same dull tunnel with the same unconscious students lying down on the same damp, cold floor. You groggily pulled your body up to a sitting position, resting your back on the wall behind you. The cold damp feeling of the wall sent shivers down your whole body as it tensed up. You quickly pulled your black hoodie over you.

You pulled your handbook out of your pocket to check what time it was. "6 22?!" You couldn't even keep your shock to yourself. You and all the others had been here almost ten hours. You got up and walked over to the others. They were covered in cuts and bruises. They look like they all got into a fight. You giggled quietly, as to not wake any of them up. The thought of the sixteen of them erupting into a brawl was amusing to you.

You heard quiet shuffling against the floor and someone slowly, lazily stood up. The first thing you saw was the unmistakable black and purple floaty hair.

"Hey Kokichi, did you have a nice rest?" You spoke in a teasing tone, imitating the way he would speak to all the other classmates. He turned to face you. I could swear he looked worried just now, but I can never know with Kokichi Ouma. Almost instantly, as if he could read your mind he proved your assumptions correct. He sprinted over to you and crouched down behind you. He wrapped his arms around you from behind. He was shaking. You felt slight heat rising to your cheeks You knew your cheeks had become a light pink, from embarrassment, so you stayed facing away.

"Hide me!" He shout-whispered at you. He sat on the floor hugging his knees, rocking back and forth. You raised an eyebrow at his extremely ambiguous statement. In response, he pointed a shaky finger in the direction of Kaede. "Awww is Kokichi scawed of wittle old Kaede." You took the opportunity to tease him even more which you could tell he didn't appreciate from the unamused look on his face.
