Lynn's POV
I woke up at 7:45 am bright and early. I have no idea why. There was something in the back of my mind and it kept bothering me, I have no idea why.
'Hayes: hey you awake? '
'to Hayes: yeah, can't sleep either huh?'
'Hayes: yeah, wanna go to the park? I wanna talk to you'
'to Hayes: now? it's early. '
'Hayes: Yes please. I need to see you'
'to Hayes: alright give me 10-15 minutes'
I got out of bed and chose some random basketball shorts and a random hoodie with shoes.
"Where are you going Lynn?" asked mom stopping me before leaving
" Just for a walk, I can't sleep." I replied" opening the door
"your not going anywhere. It's way too early for you to be outside" mom said closing the door
"since when do you care? so now you decide to be a mom?" i asked
"I've always cared, you know why I work so hard. We've gone over this a million times. Its all for you" Mom said keeping calm
"Hasn't it ever occurred to you that I might've needed my mom at times? Maybe we wouldn't have the best things in the world but maybe we'd be together. I'm leaving whether you like it or not. " I said slamming the door in the process. I was so tired of always having this fight.
I made my way to the park, passing the play escape. Me and Xavier used to come here alot, things just changed so fast.
I looked for Hayes all around the park and saw him shooting hoops. He shot one and missed then the ball rolled towards my feet which made him notice me standing there
"I didn't think you were gonna show up" Hayes chuckled
"Yeah umm just had to do something and yeah." I shrugged.
"Oh. I'm glad you came though" He smiled bringing me in for a hug
"Me too" I said taking in his warmth as he held me. Gosh he smelled good. He was always so warm and welcoming, just unbelievable.
After awhile we pulled away
"So what did you wanna talk to me about?" I asked
"Let's just lay in the ground for awhile, c'mon" he said taking my hand in his and walking me towards the grass area.
Hayes layed down, his arms behind his head and just layed there for awhile. I sat down just bent my legs a bit and picking at the grass
"Madi and I broke up" He sighed
"Oh, I'm sorry" I said acting clueless
"It's fine, its not your fault exactly" he said, I knew it was though
"what's that supposed to mean?" I asked
"It means I still like you. It means Madi saw us dancing and automatically found out. She found out how I love you and not her " Hayes replied
"Maybe this is a sign. Maybe this was meant to be. Maybe Madi was never the one for you" I shrugged
"I know. I know it's you. I just can't do this at the moment " Hayes said
"how come? " I asked
"I- I got invited to magcon, you know the thing where Nash is at? I have to do this. I need to do this. I wanna meet new people I wanna-"
"Be Famous " I said cutting him
"Not exactly, I just wanna be known. Maybe become big someday" he explained
"Your already big, your captain of the football team, your the most popular kid around" I explained
"that's not being big. I just feel like I need to do this" He sighed
"Isn't being big and loved with your loved ones enough? What's the big deal with recognition?-" I ranted on but Hayes surprised me by kissing me
"your cute when you rant but you need to understand me. Please " He begged as he pulled away
"Fine. I just don't want you to go, I want you here with me. " I pouted as Hayes layed back down and pulled me back down with him.
I layed my head on his stomach.
"I wish I could bring you with me." he said playing with my fingers.
"You better not be hugging girls and kissing them" I joked
"that's basically my job" he chuckled
"fine then you better not enjoy it" I warned
"No worries, I won't. You should start a youtube account or vine and maybe start posting and stuff. I'll even give you a shout out and stuff and then you can come with me" He said overly excited
"I'm not that talented. I'm good though, I'll just wait for you I guess" I shrugged
"I don't want you to feel like you have to" he replied
"I want to. I really really want to" I answered
"Me too." he smiled
"Then I guess we'll wait for eachother. " I shrugged.
"I promise I'll wait for you, I can't imagine being myself with someone else but you." Hayes said making me blush
"When are you leaving? Where are you leaving? " I asked
"Today... and Nashville." he answered
"seriously? why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked
"you were mad at me and it was complicated " he explained
"does Madi know?" I asked
"No. I never trusted her with these types of things." he shrugged
"You know what? I'm not letting you leave. Why should I share you with 7 billion people, mostly girls? This isn't fair" I whined
"Aww. You know you'll always be my one and only, I promise you that I'll get you tickets" He said
"I don't want tickets, I want you here " I pouted
"Sorry babe. I'll miss seeing your beautiful face around " He said kissing my temple.
"What if I hid you in my basement and never let you go?" I asked
"I'd still find you attractive. The hottest stalker ever " he winked
he suddenly just hopped on me a started kissing me.
"hayes not here" I said stopping him
"im not doing anything, i just wanted to feel your lips on mine for one last time" he smiled sadly
"Don't go please" I begged pecking his lips
"I have to. But I'll be back for you."
