Regulus POV
Sirius and Elspeth are walking behind me muttering things to each other, laughing every once and a while. I drag my trunk behind me as we enter Kings Cross Station, surrounding us are crowds of Muggles. I hear a yelp behind me from Sirius, I look back seeing him clutching his head. "You two are causing a scene!" I call back to them hiding my smile.
Elspeth whacks be on the back of my head, "You keep your trap shut."
I rub my head glaring at her, "Yeah, yeah. Alright."
Once we got onto platform 9 ¾ I glance around for Gracie's blonde hair to see her standing with her Hufflepuff friends. I'm about to walk over but a hand comes to rest on each of my shoulders, I look back to see Elspeth on my right and Sirius standing to my right. I sigh, "Is there a reason you guys are stopping me?"
Sirius smiles, "Just wanted to wish you well on your last year. Enjoy the silence without Snivulles and them goons."
I chuckle, "I will, thanks for bringing me. Even though I could've made it on my own."
Elspeth snorts, "Like hell you would have."
I make a face at her, before shaking my head, "I've done it before, I hope you realise this."
The two adults share a look. Elspeth sighs, "Enough mini Sirius! Good ridance!"
Sirius smiles as I groan, "I thought you weren't going to use that nickname."
Elspeth shrugs as Sirius laughs, "I never said that."
I roll my eyes walking to Gracie, "Bye!"
I hear them call goodbyes after me as I retreat into the platform crowd. I walk up to the train stumbling on trying to find an empty compartment, looking into each to see most filled with kids. I bump into someone and I mutter a sorry, continuing through the hall of the train. I hear the person stop, I don't look back to see their face. I finally find an empty compartment so I sit down near the window staring out at the unmoving station. I hear the compartment door open to reveal a young Slytherin, "You're Regulus right?"
I nod looking him up and down, his shorter with matching short brown hair. His hazel eyes piercing against his dark skin, "Where are the others?"
I tilt my head, "Why do you ask?"
He leans against the door frame, "It's just you are never apart, I assumed you'd be with them."
"They left last year." I say flatly not taking my eyes off the small boy, "They aren't coming back."
He nods, "Good to know. Maybe I'll have a decent year now."
"What's your name?" I ask smiling.
"Lucas Spinner." The boy says still look at me.
"Pleassure to meet you. I'm sorry if the others caused you issues before." I mutter.
He shakes his head, "Doesn't matter anyways, always been teased. Even in Muggle school."
"Muggle-born?" I press leaning back into the seat.
He again shakes his head, "Half. My Mums a Muggle and my Dad is a wizard."
I nod, "Good to know. Do you have a compartment?"
He bites his bottom lip, "No, never do."
I motion to the seat across from me, "You're welcome to stay, must warn you I have someone joining me."
He shrugs sliding into the seat, "You know, you're not that bad, compared to them at the least."
My heart skips a beat, "Thanks Lucas. It means a lot."
