Emma holds me in front of the mirror with a smile, "Oh come on! You love it!"
I frown, "I look like a Christmas ordiment."
Emma has me dressed in a bright festive Christmas jumper for going over to the Potter's today. She laughs, "I got Sirius a matching one, hopefully he'll be wearing his too."
"I'm not wearing this. Sorry." I say, stepping back away from the mirror.
She sighs grabbing my arm again, "Have a little Christmas spirt, Reg. This is so going to be the best Christmas yet!"
"I'll have spirt but I'm still not wearing this. Sirius can fend for himself."
She was right about one thing though. This Christmas should turn out better than usual, it's the first year none of us are at home. All of us have moved out and went on with our lives. I know Emma is extremely happy for this year, she'll get to see both sides of her family.
Behind us Mickie stands in the doorway with her arms crossed, "Emma we're going to be late."
Emma looks back at her, "We'll be ready in a minute. Peyton's ready?"
Mickie nods, "She's been ready to go for at least an hour now. Been rushing about the house repeating the names Jamie and Siri. So thank you for telling her that."
I chuckle and leave the room to switch shirts. When I go back downstairs Peyton is pulling on Mickie's sweater, "Mom! Mom! Mom!"
"What do you need Peyton?" Mickie asks, picking up the toddler.
"We never ever have a second Christmas! Why?" Peyton laughs twisting her moms hair in her fingers.
"Because Emma has to see her family too, sweets." Mickie pokes Peyton's nose, causing the girl to squeal.
Emma pulls the girl away, "How about we leave your Mum alone? You can bother her all you want tonight when you guys come back here, okay?"
I smile as I watch Emma dance the girl around the room, grabbing her wand as she goes. She grabs my wrist and drags me along with her, "Alrightly here we go."
Emma brings us outside of the small Potter house, and almost instantly flinches at the yells coming from inside. She hands Mickie the toddler and walks slowly toward the door. I walk up to her, asking who it was yelling, "Is it Remus and Sirius?"
She motions for me to be quiet, but then sighs, "No it's just James and Lily."
She runs back to the others and nods to me. I knock on the door before pushing it open. The yelling doesn't stop but Elspeth looks over at me, "Hey stranger!"
She stands up and drags me into a hug, "Is Emma here?"
I nod as she and Mickie walk in. A very tired looking Remus peeks in, before going back into whatever room he was in. "Merlin you two! Emma and Reg are here."
James and Lily stop bickering, before dragging everyone else into the main room.
Elspeth looks back and pulls Sirius to the front of the room, he has the same Christmas jumper on that I was supposed to be wearing. I hold back a laugh, as Sirius glares at his sister, "Took you long enough! Can I take this off now?"
Elspeth laughs, "One issue with that love. You can't take it off."
Sirius growls and sits down on the couch, before finally realizing the redhead and the toddler. "Well Em, you going to introduce us?"
"Um yeah everyone this is Mickie and Peyton. They're from America."
"Canada but alright." Mickie mutters, forcing a smile, "Nice to meet you all."
