Gracelyn drags me behind her giggling as I pout, "I can walk you know."
"But this is more fun!" She replies.
I can't fight the smile that creeps onto my face as we walk down the street of the Muggle town, toward Gracie's parents. I feel the nerves echoing through me with every step I take toward the small cottage. "Are you sure they want to meet me? I mean being who I am and what I stand for?"
"You mean who you used to be and what you used to stand for." She corrects sharply, "besides they've wanted to meet you since first year."
I blush, "First year huh? You must have talked about me an awful lot."
Now it's her turn to blush as she glares back at me, "It's not that."
I smirk at her, "Than what was it?"
She bites her lip, "Damn you, Regulus."
I chuckle wrapping my arm over her shoulder, "Ah lovely times!"
She giggles leaning into me, burying herself into my jacket to avoid the frigid winter air, "Excited to meet them?"
I glance down at her, "You could say that. Maybe a bit nervous as well."
"You have no reason to be."
"I know that."
She pushes me over to the right side of the street to a small yellow house with a large fence and garden surrounding it. She pushes it open letting me in before her, "Here we go."
She walks up to the front door pulling it open guiding me inside to a cozy and welcoming sitting room, full of books and newspaper. "Sorry for the mess it seems my brother must be home."
I glance over at her, "I didn't know you had a brother."
She nods slowly, "And a younger sister."
She calls out for her parents shrugging her winter coat aside, taking mine as well. A woman with long red hair walks in with a wide smile. She looks so much like Gracelyn. "Hello! You must be Regulus!"
She holds out her hand for me to shake, her smile not faltering, "It's nice to meet you Mrs. Tear."
"And you! You'll have to excuse the mess, it seems Tommy didn't care to pick up." She says looking around with an irritated look.
I shrug, "I don't mind."
Her hand comes to rest on my shoulder lightly, "Of course you don't, you're to sweet to say anything."
She walks out of the sitting room leaving me and Gracie to look at each other with small smiles, "Yeah sorry. It's going to be chaos these next few days, with all of my family here, especially for Christmas."
I elbow her in the side playfully, "You know I don't mind."
Her eyes shine up at me, "I know this--"
She's cut off by a loud crash followed by a high pitched yell, "Gracie!"
Suddenly she's tackled to the ground by a small blonde haired girl, "Tommy said you were supposed to come today! First time in awhile he was actually right."
Gracie chuckles pushing her sister off her standing up, "I didn't come alone, Mads. Remember the boy I told you about?"
The little girl nods quickly, her hair tossing on her shoulders, "The cute snake one?"
Gracelyn blushes a deep red nodding as I smile at the description, "Yes that one. His name is Regulus."
She whips around to face me looking me up and down, "Hello!"
