The aura inside the living room suddenly became chilly. The elder man was sitting on the couch, his palm rested on his knee while a stern look masked his expression. The two young teenagers sat in front of him quietly, their gaze on the floor, both were too afraid  to make eye contact with the elder in front of them

Kao was biting his lips nervously, silently blaming Pete in his brain. He had told Pete the consequences of his doings just now but the brat decided to be deaf and not listen to him. Now, Pete's dad was probably mad or wanted to chase Pete out of the house. Kao suddenly felt very much worried of Pete getting disowned

Pete's dad who had been quiet since just now suddenly exhaled a breath as if wanting to say something, it made Kao even more nervous

"How long have you been dating him?" the elder asked, his gaze directed to Kao

Kao briefly took a glace at Pete's dad before averting his gaze again as he gulped down his saliva anxiously

"We are not dating" Kao said honestly

A look of displeasement was shown on the elder's face

"If you are not dating, then what kind of relationship do you have with my son?" Pete's dad asked sternly

"Dad!" Pete exclaimed in protest but his dad just sent him a glare

"Im asking Kao. Not you. Keep quiet" the elder said to Pete

Kao took a deep nervous breath before again opening his mouth to give an explanation to Pete's dad

"We are a close friends to each other. But I admit that our closeness are more than what friends should be" Kao said, peeking a look towards Pete when he said those words. His heart tingled when he saw Pete already looking at his way, as if giving courage to him

"But if this makes you uncomfortable, I will stop seeing him" Kao continued sadly

Kao's words made him earn a dissatisfied look from Pete

"Don't say that! I will not let you do that! No way!" Pete protested

Kao could only sigh dejectedly hearing Pete's words. No matter how much those words made his heart itches and tingles, if Pete's dad didn't consent their relationship, they still could do nothing

The elder just look between the two of them before taking a deep breath wanting to say something but Pete cuts him off

"Dad, why are you being like this? Is it wrong if I wanted to see Kao? You see that I'm a better person after I met him. My academic results got better. I rarely engaged in any fights now. You also said that Kao is a nice person. So why do you stop us just because he is a guy?" Pete lashed out to his dad but kept his tone in control since he still respected his dad

Hearing those words from his son, the elder shook his head

"Since when did I forbid you both from seeing each other?" Pete's dad said, tone slightly raise

Both Pete and Kao turn their head towards the elder's direction, shocked at what they just heard

"Then why didn't you say anything?" Pete asked

"You both kept on talking, I didn't even have a chance to say anything" the elder man said, a little bit irritated that the two teenager keeps on assuming the worse from him

"In fact, Ive known about this quite a while, someone had sent me the picture of you two kissing in the car"

Pete and Kao looked at each other for a while. Both had the same idea on who the culprit is

"To be honest, I was so shocked when I first saw it but I realized that I have no rights to stop you it makes you happy. What I want to ask from you both if you want to stay together is to stay good and dont go astray. That's all"

"So I can date Kao?" Pete asked estatically

Kao nudged on Pete's arm with his elbow feeling shy at the question Pete was asking his dad yet Pete's dad just hums in response

"But–" the elder suddenly starts talking again making them both nervous with the first word

"You must be careful on who you tell about your relationship. Not everyone is as understanding and as accepting. In fact, they may only enjoy gossiping about you two. I dont want you two finding yourself in a hot seat at this age" Pete's dad continued in a serious tone

"Okay dad"

"And go talk to the person who sent me the picture. Dont make the person go mad again. They might pull off something like this again to another person. You both are a grown up man, you must know how to deal with problems"

Both of the teenager just nodded at the elder man as a sign of understandment. Their heart was contented and pleased, especially Pete, he doesn't have to worry about being disowned by his dad anymore. He suddenly felt like he has the greatest dad in the world, so thankful that his dad is a very understanding dad

"Oh and lastly..." the elder man spoke again while rising from his seat

"If you want to do something, don't do it in the living room. We have plenty of rooms inside the house" Pete's dad said calmly before walking towards his bedroom door

Hearing this, a sly smirk formed on Pete's face

"Thanks dad!" Pete called out giddily while Kao could only blush in embarassment

The elder man just shook his head in amusement before going back inside his room, wanting to get ready to go to work

Pete suddenly stood up from his seat, his hand gripping on Kao's wrist, wanting to drag Kao with him

"What are you trying to do?!" Kao asked, firmly planting his butt on the seat, not wanting to stand up with Pete

"Lets go inside my room" Pete urged

Uncle...why do you have to give Pete permission? Kao silently complained

"I don't want to!" Kao said, pulling his hand away from Pete yet Pete grasp were stronger

"You haven't finish cheering me up yet"

"Cheering you up, my ass!'

"You can cheer me up with your ass too"

A sofa cushion came flying towards Pete's face yet Pete dodged it easily as he yanked Kao towards him, lifting Kao to his shoulder, forcefully dragging the man upstairs inside his room

"Pete!!"

That was the last complain that could be heard coming from Kao before it was blocked out by the walls of Pete's bedroom
