~Professional Busboy~

The next day the group was in the HMS Pogue just hanging out. Shaye was braiding JJ's hair and he didn't object once. He would do anything to make her smile right now. "You guys see that" JJ whistled over to a boat in the water. "That's the Malibu 24-MXZ, the world's finest wake setter. Number one on luxury, quality, and performance. 200k easy"

"Thanks salesman of the year" Shaye laughed pulling his hair lightly as he yelped.

"We picked the wrong parents" Pope muttered as the boat neared.

Kie put on her sunglasses and said, "I hate to break it to you guys but that's Topper and his girlfriend"

The boats passed each other as Sarah Cameron pushed her sunglasses on her head, making eye contact with Shaye. Kie hated Sarah for abandoning them, but Shaye was pissed that she hurt Kie so much. Sarah and Shaye were good friends most of her life and then when Kie came, their group was complete. But now, Shaye didn't even recognize the Sarah she used to know.

"You don't have to act like you don't see us" Kie yelled as Shaye flipped them off.

They both smirked at each other. Being a power duo had it's benefits.

Later the group drove to the place JJ worked on the 8. Shaye sat in the back with Kie as they talked about Midsummer's. They were both dreading it.

"We're behind enemy lines" JJ said as they arrived, pulling out his gun.

"Yo, come on man, just put it back." John B said turning off the car

JJ loaded the gun and looked at him. "What? You can never be too careful."

"Hey I predict bringing a gun to a four star hotel will likely cause more problems then solve them" Pope said walking up to the door.

"I swear I'm gonna throw that thing in the Ocean, JJ" Kie said to him "Put it back."

Shaye walked up to him and grabbed the gun, putting it under her seat. "You can't grab it like that" JJ whined as she smacked his head "Can't forget my badge. Professional busboy" He continued getting out of the car. She just snorted as they walked inside.

They walked inside as JJ greeted everyone picking food off of plates as they scolded him. It all made Shaye smile. Why did he always have to be so cute? Walking to the back, JJ talked about how the building had power and that Kooks don't miss a beat.

After the group piled into the back room, Pope got on the one of the computers so search up the coordinates. "Let me get in there. I've gotta check my insta models" JJ said as Shaye smacked his head.

JJ just laughed and grabbed the hand that she smacked him with, holding on to it. Shaye tried not to show the light pink rising to her cheeks. John B told Pope the coordinates as he typed them in.

Pope zoomed in on them to see if it was off the continental shelf. "It's on the high side. It's only 900 feet" John B said

"That's not too deep" JJ said excited

"Is that doable or something?" Kie asked him

"Yeah totally doable"

Pope looked over at JJ, "Will we be taking your personal submarine?"

"How do you know this Mr. Dive Master?" John B asked raising his arm for emphasis

"The salvage yard" JJ answered like it was obvious "They got a drone that can drop a thousand. It has a 360 camera and everything. It's for like deep dives and stuff, it's exactly what we need."

"And can your dad get his grimy little hands on that?" JB asked

JJ squeezed Shaye's hand in annoyance "Well my dad's grimy little hands got fired. I guess the salvage captain frowns upon showing up drunk, turns out. But the drone's there. It's in the impound yard out back."

"How much did you say was on the Royal Merchant again?" Shaye asked smirking

They all answered 400 mil as Pope shot up to guard the door. "No. No . Absolutely Not." He said as they all pushed him aside to leave.

"Can't we do anything legal for money." He complained as Shaye just winked at him laughing

This should be fun.
