Chapter 7

As I woke up,different scenarios started running through my mind and how each of them would end. I'm honestly shit scared for what's coming my way. Should I go ahead with this? Should I trust Jake? Before I could think more, I got a message from him.

Moron: I'll be outside your house in 20.

I quickly got ready,had breakfast and was out of the house in exactly 20 minutes. Jake was already outside leaning against his black Aston Martin convertible. Then I remembered that the Mercedes was of one of the guys' on the football team. This guy was rich!

I quickly sat in the passenger seat.

"So 'girlfriend', I will be picking you up for school every day,since I'm your 'boyfriend' and have you told anyone about this arrangement?" I just kept looking ahead. We were getting closer to school and I was becoming nervous."N-no. But I may tell Brooke and Stacy." Oh my God, I'm gonna die."You sure you want to do this? I feel you are going to throw up and if you will then please not on me or in my car." That's when we parked in front of the school.

"It's show time",he was smirking. How the hell is he so calm? I told my nerves to relax and stepped out of the car. Everyone's eyes quickly darted towards me. Some were shocked, some smirked. I WANNA DIE.

Jake took my hand in his and made his way towards the school building. Not gonna lie, I'm nervous but this kinda helped me come back to my senses.

Stacy and Brooke were already at their locker and Caleb,Noah and Austin were walking towards them. Caleb spotted us first and his jaw dropped. The others looked at us and they all had the same expressions. Shit!

Jake's arm was on my shoulder and he acted like everything was normal. I actually don't know how he does it. He turned me towards him and kissed my forehead, then leaned towards my ear and said,"Breathe Addy. I would walk you to class but I have to meet coach." Then he started walking backwards." Later babe",he winked and ran off.

I got ready for the questions coming my way and walked towards my locker."What is going on?" "When and how did this happen?" "Are you feeling okay?You know you are dating Jake right?" I have no idea which one of them asked these questions because everyone was talking at the same time." STOP! I'll tell you guys what's going on during lunch right now I have to get to class." Saying that I stormed away.

First up chemistry. My chem partner is Peter, so he probably won't care about this stuff. Luckily I'm safe...for now.

Peter actually did talk to me a lot. About Brooke. I know for a fact now that he actually does care for her and likes her a lot.

I got a heck of a lot of glares today but I pretended not to notice. Now it was lunch and I was sitting with the dumbasses. Jake was nowhere to be seen so great I guess.

Our table was completely silent."Okay, I can't take it anymore. Addy what the hell is going on between you and Rivers?" Caleb spoke up first."Yeah. I mean you literally hate that dude. How...what... I'm so confused." Noah actually looked pretty confused. Stacy and Brooke just stared at me waiting for an answer. We didn't even talk much during the classes we had with each other."I don't know. It just happened." This fork looks interesting. Why not stare at it."What do you mean it just happened? I know I've always joked around about him and you but hell, I had no idea this would happen." When Stacy gets mad or worried about something ,trust me ,not a good sight."You know you are dating Jake aka 'the player' right?" Brooke looked concerned ,like I was losing my mind or something."Guys relax. It's fine. And by the way Stacy and Brooke,we are going to Starbucks after practice." I gave them a look that said 'I have to tell you both something but can't in front of the guys'. They understood what I was saying so they just nodded.

Now is when shit may happen. Drama.

Caleb and I have drama together so we walked together in silence. But then he cracked some lame joke and we both started laughing. We reached comparatively early. There were barely like five people in class. Then came in Alex. His piercing blue eyes met mine and he walked right over.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" I told Caleb I'd be back quickly. "What's up?" I tried to say this with ease but I was failing miserably. He mustn't have noticed because he carried on. "Umm...I don't mean to intrude but uh.. how are you dating Jake? I thought you guys like hated each other." What should I say? Just then I felt someone's hand on my waist. I realised it was 'yours truly'. "I've actually like her for quite sometime. I had no idea how to tell her. I thought it would be best to just be out with it. And whaddoyouknow, I wasn't shot down." Count on him to make up a completely believable story on spot. He smirked and looked at me. Before Alex could say anything Ms. Pierson came in. She was actually pretty young and her eyes were intimidating. But she was amazing. I went and sat next to Caleb and Jake next to me.

"Don't be late after practice. I won't wait", Jake told me after our class was over."I'm going out with Stacy and Brooke. I have to tell them about this fake relationship thing." He leaned on to his locker while I took my books for history. "You sure it's a good idea telling them? I mean you don't think they'll tell anyone right?"

"I know they won't. Just trust me."

"Okay then. Let's get to class." He took my books and intertwined our fingers and dropped me off to class.

You could get used to this treatment.

Practice got over and we were now at Starbucks. I told them the whole thing. They listened with rapt attention.

"Umm wow, okay! But why would he wanna help you?" Stacy said taking a pause from drinking her iced tea.

"I have absolutely no idea. I mean I buy the Jennifer thing but still." I am losing my mind.

We bot looked at Brooke who was messaging someone on her phone. She put it down and sighed, "I'm still trying to take it in. All I can say is good luck..."
