It has been one month and a few days since the fake dating started.

Emma and Josh left last night for New York. Mom, Emma, and I spent the entire day together. I was going to miss her a lot. Josh too.

Today morning, I was going to school with Stacy and Brooke, because Stacy had to tell us something super important.

As soon as B and I got in the car, Stacy said something I knew she would in a matter of time. "Austin and I kissed last night." Brooke was kind of in shock but I smirked saying that I knew this would happen.

Austin told the guys(including Jake) about it. So when we met at school Austin asked her out on a proper date. All of us aww-ed when Stacy said yes and was surprisingly blushing. Stacy NEVER blushes. Noah clicked a picture of her pink face and said that he would use that 'leverage'.

The football match was tomorrow and the pep rally was today. I don't even know why it was a day before. So, the cheerleaders were in their cheerleading outfits for the whole day.

Rachel and I had been texting each other for a while now. She is actually sweet, not like the snobby cheerleaders. She has been thinking about quitting cheer-leading but her mother wants her to continue.

The football players would barely be in class today. So, I hadn't seen Jake since morning. Not that I want to. Pfft.

You totally don't want to.

Oh hey! Your back. Mind shutting up. I most definitely do not need your comments. So shush.

Jake came to class during English. His hair was wet which means he had just had a shower. He was wearing a tight Black t-shirt witch stuck to his body, showing off his muscles. All the girls were staring at him as he walked into class and next to me. For once, I'm not going to fight it and say he looks hot.

"Hey", he half smiled, half smirked.

"Hey, you. How was practice?" We had a little time before Mrs. Marin started class.

"Tiring. The team is super nervous but excited at the same time for tomorrow. Are you going for the pep rally today?" He said slumping in his seat.

"No. I was not planning to. I'll probably go straight home after drama."

"Me too. I'm not in the mood for it. Mind if I tag along?"

"Not at all. But don't you have to be there considering you are on the football team."

"Kinda. But I don't feel like it. Peter is going to make the speech. Alex didn't feel like it. So, if you see, it's practically pointless for me to be there."

I shrugged and Mrs. Marin entered. "I read all the essays and all for amazing. I mean it. All of you have put in a lot of effort. But I absolutely loved one. It was...different. Addison and Jake. Good job!" she smiled and gave us our paper.

I was beaming and so was Jake. "Good work. It was your idea so I think you deserve more credit."

"Thank you. But it's not like I came up with the entire idea on my own."

"We make a good team." He said and stretched.

"Yeah, we do", I said and focused on what Mrs. Marin was saying.

During drama, we finally decided that we would be using Jake's and my idea. Caleb would be Romeo, Rachel would be Juliet, Jake would be Rachel's father and I would be Caleb's mother. The good thing was that we did not need a narrator because ours' was pretty simple to understand. Before leaving the class I talked to Alex. And by talk I mean I wished him good luck because Jake called me. I got a little irritated but let it slide.

Jake and I headed to The Hideout. It had been a while since I came here. Each of us ordered a burger and fries to share. We started talking about random things. Just then I realized that it is the first of July. Which means..."Your birthday is in 6 days. I still have to buy you a gift. Oh my god, I almost forget. What's the plan anyway?"

"Umm...I actually don't like celebrating my birthday," he said looking outside the glass...wall/window?

I was about to ask him why but the waitress came with the bill. She looked at Jake and winked at him. Jake winked back at her. I got a little pissed and I have no idea why. But I did not show it and coughed a little. Her eyes snapped back at me. I didn't spare her another glance.

We split the bill. She came back to the table to collect the money and passed Jake a paper. I'm pretty sure her number was on it. She gave him a flirtatious smile and walked back, swaying her hips a little more than what was needed. I just got up and walked out. Too much tension and her face was caked with makeup. Why do I even care?
