Accidentally In Love

Chapter 17

After detention, we headed straight home. Today was a Friday and Jake and I decided to have the Disney movie marathon today. We had already decided which movie we were going to watch. Now, not many people like musicals but I do. Who knew Jake did too. Anyways, so right now, I was in my room setting everything up. The speakers were connected, popcorn was ready, drinks were there too and the pillows were placed.

Before you think any further, this is NOT a DATE. Just two people who are fake dating and kind of friends now hanging out. That's all. The others may join us through the second movie. When I asked Jake if he was okay with the others coming, he seemed a little... hesitant. I don't know. But he agreed.

The doorbell rang. Before I could even get out of my room, Emma opened the door. Hanna came along to give accompany Emma. "Okay, now Rivers, don't do some shit like making my little sister upset. I may not look like it, but I sure as hell can punch hard." Emma looked serious. Jake did look a little scared but nodded none the less. I had to cover my mouth with my hands to not laugh out loud. I walked over to them and smirked at Jake, letting him know that I saw the conversation they just had. More like a threat he just got. "Rivers, you're with me," Emma said pulling Hanna behind her.

As soon as we entered my room, I burst out laughing. His face became light pink and he was looking anywhere except me. Because of this, I started laughing more. After I calmed down we played the movie. We were sitting on the floor, against my bed so we could lean on it.

Jake was watching the movie with rapt attention. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Jake mouth the words to 'Get your head in the game'. I switched on my phone and started recording him. I knew he was going to start singing any minute. And I was right. At the chorus, he started singing so loudly. When the song finished he realized I had recorded the whole thing. "This is how I will be blackmailing you in the future", saying this I started laughing. He just ignored me.

My favorite song in the first movie was the one in which Troy and Gabriella sing a duet. 'Breaking Free'. When that song started Jake and me, started singing it. We gave each other a knowing look and stood up to dance along. I have got to admit. He has a pretty amazing voice. When the song ended we were both just fell on the bed.

"You're a good singer Bloom."

"You're not so bad yourself."

"My eyes are closed so can you please stop whatever you both were doing," Noah said walking in with his hands covering his eyes. The others were behind him with a few boxes of pizza in their hands.

"We are not doing anything Noah," I said playing the next movie. All of us started singing 'What time is it'. Even the guys, who for your information, sounded like dying whales.

By the third movie started we weren't even paying attention. We, rather I, started clicking pictures of everyone doing weird stuff. The guys were posing with sunglasses and any other thing they found in my closet. For some reason, I had a feather boa in there too. They applied some lipstick on Jake's face and put the boa around his neck and even gave him my hoops and some bracelets. We all burst out laughing till the point where there were tears in our eyes. Jake gave Austin this weird-ass wink and walked towards him. He grabbed his face, turned his back towards us, and pretended to kiss him. My stomach was hurting because of laughing and I had to pee.

The guys had headed home. Stacy and Brooke were sleeping over tonight. Jake and I were on my porch right now.

"Your friends are fun."

"Yeah, and dumb," I smiled.

He chuckled a little, "That too. You love your friends a lot and I know for a fact you would do literally anything for them." He said this as a statement.

"Yes I do and yeah I would."

"Good night princess", he said before walking away.

"Good night moron."

I entered my room. Stacy got up and started hugging her back to look as if she was kissing someone.

Brooke was making kissy faces at me. I threw a pillow at each of them. We talked for a little while before sleeping at around 1 in the morning...midnight, whatever.
