A few cars had already pulled up across the street in front of Jake's house. Brooke and Stacy came over after school and decided to get ready here itself.
I had on a blue spaghetti strap bandage dress with silver heels. The dress was a bit too short but according to Stacy and Brooke said it made me look hot. I don't like too much make-up so I just applied a bit of foundation, lip gloss, and mascara. I left my hair in its natural wavy form.
Stace wore a neon lime tube top with a tight black skirt while B wore an off-shoulder white top with a nude skirt. We left soon.
By the time we reached, many people had arrived. I quickly went up to Jake's room and kept his gift. As soon as I came down, I spotted Jake. He still hadn't seen me so I took that as a chance to ogle him. Yup, it's official. I am a creepy stalker. He was in his usual attire. Black leather jacket with ripped jeans and a white t-shirt. As if he could feel me staring at him, his face turned towards me. First, he smirked because he caught me staring at him, but then as he shamelessly checked me out his mouth hung open. Now it was my turn to smirk.
I walked across the room hoping I wouldn't trip. I reached him and closed his mouth, "You don't wanna catch flies now, do you?" He snapped out of his daze.
"Hey! It's my birthday. No comments on me." I just rolled my eyes but smiled nonetheless. I scanned the crowd and noticed that the 3 devils were here. Can you guess who?

Somehow, I found myself in the middle of a game of spin the bottle. Most of the time was spent with Jake doing complete nonsense but even that was fun. Neither of us had much to drink. Back to the game.
Till now three pairs were done. Noah and some girl, Peter and Brooke, and two other people. It was my turn next and I got ... Jake. He looked over at me to ask if I was okay with it. I couldn't say no because then other people would start doubting.
You totally didn't say yes because you wanted to kiss him.
We both moved to the center and almost immediately his hand went to my waist and mine around his neck and we kissed. Let me tell you something. No matter how much I may have disliked Jake or how annoying he was, he was an amazing kisser. This was our second kiss and just wow. Unfortunately, it didn't last long and we pulled apart in a few seconds.
Mikayla was fuming. "Okay, next game. This is boring. Let's play seven minutes in heaven." Everyone just shrugged. I have got to say it was a little annoying because we had to wait for 7 minutes for the next persons' chance and, seven minutes is way too long.
It was finally my turn. And this time I got a person from the football team. He looked good but nowhere in comparison to Alex or Ja-
Wait? What?! Let's just ignore the fact that I had that thought. Okay great.
The guy had a smirk on his face which sent a shiver down my spine, and it was not the good kind. Jake glared at him, challenging him to go in cupboard with me. His smirk faltered and he finally backed down. Jake looked triumphant.
I was honestly bored out of my mind. It seems Jake was too cause he tugged my hand and pulled me up.
"Your gift is in your room," I said as we walked up the stairs.
"Addy you didn't have to get me anything."
"Oh okay. I'll just go and get it back."
"No, no, no. It's fine. I guess I can see what it is." I smiled at him as we entered the room and he checked what was in the bag. I got him a sweatshirt, a beanie and I made a collage.
The collage consisted of different pictures I had captured. Pictures from the park, waterfall, movie night, The Hideout, dinner at his place, football match, him baking brownies, and in the center of it all was a picture of the entire group. The picture was taken by Emma. There were a few other pictures here and there.
He just stared at it with a soft smile. If a person looks at something and smiles, it means they like it, right? "It's not that great. I should have given you something else. This was dumb. Just give it back. I'll get you something el-"
"Addy!" Jake said cutting me off.
"Breathe. I love this and you are never going to get it back." I gave him a sheepish smile.
For the next half an hour or so, we just sat there and talked. "I didn't say this before, but you are looking gorgeous."
I slightly blushed at his compliment. "Thank you. Besides, your reaction when you saw me was enough for me to figure it out."
"Oh yeah. Don't act like you weren't checking me out." He smirked.
"I was, actually." I blurted. I'm going to be taunted by this.
His smirk widened before changing into a smile. His eyes flickered to my lips then my eyes. I didn't realize it, but I was leaning in too. Before anything could happen, Alex walked in. "What's going on here?" We jumped apart.
"Um...I was talking to my girlfriend before you interrupted us." Jake said, wrapping his arm around my waist.
Possessive much?
Alex just glared at him and walked back downstairs.
"I should head home. It's getting pretty late." I said as I scurried out.
"Yeah, sure. I'll drop you off. Noah, Austin, and Caleb already left. I think."
"No, don't worry. You shouldn't leave your own party. Besides. I'll be with Stacy and Brooke."
He looked a little...hurt? Whatever it was, he covered it up quickly. "Okay then. Bye, princess. Thank you for coming."
"Bye moron and I wouldn't have missed it."
That night as I was sleeping, I thought back to how he and I were gonna kiss before we got interrupted. I WANTED to kiss JAKE. But did I like him? That was my last thought before I drifted off to sleep...
