"Now that we've got our teams sorted for the sports festival, everyone should be free to go and train."

"Okay!"

While having her friends in the track part of the event with her was a good thing, Ayako was starting to wonder if Gina and Ayako needed any help with anything.

"Oi! Ayako!"

"What is it?"

"We need to train, not be a space cadet."

"Right, sorry."

"Great, now lets begin."

While she had been able to keep up with the best runners at the school, Ayako felt she was missing something but couldn't place what it was. Training had finished for the day and Ayako started to make her walk back home when she had to stop as she heard someone call to her. Turning to see who called for her, Ayako didn't see anyone and continued on home.

The next day at school, training was still the same and Ayako wanted to have a talk with Gina and Ako about the voice she heard calling to her when she got the chance. While running, Ayako heard the voice again which caused her to trip over her own feet and catch herself by putting her hands on the ground.

"Are you okay, Hagaruma?"

"I'm fine, just got distracted."

"Okay, just make sure no to become distracted during the actual race."

"Right."

"Let's take a 15 minute break everyone and we'll be straight back at it again."

"Okay!"

Grabbing her drink bottle, Ayako took the chance to find her other friends to talk about the voice that was worrying her so much. Ayako soon found the girls talking in the group she saw so much and requested to talk with Gina and Ako alone for a few moments.

"What seems to be the matter, Ayako?" Ako asked once they were sure no one could hear their conversation.

"I know this will sound crazy and I don't expect you to believe me, so I'll come out and say it." Ayako started panting. "I've been hearing this voice recently and I'm not sure on how to act because it is starting to distract me."

"You've been hearing the voice too."

"Jinx."

"Hey!"

"Double jinx."

"Did either of you hear the voice yesterday on your way home?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Certainly."

"What does this voice mean?"

"I have no idea, that's why I came to the two of you."

"Let's ignore it for now and focus on the sports festival, then we can worry about the voice."

"Okay."

"Sounds good."

"I better get back before my teacher sends a search party."

The day of the sports festival soon arrived and the school was filled with much livelier chatter than ever before and some students began to wonder if the Precure would formally make an appearance at the event. Ayako, Gina and Ako each heard these rumours to which they each had scoffed and rolled their eyes in annoyance at the talk and wished their classmates would stop talking about such nonsense.

The day went by smoothly and the final event, which was track, finally graced the student body as it had built up some hype. Chain was with Gina and Ako and while they waited for the event to start, a feeling came over the fairy and they were on high alert. Seeing this, Gina and Ako walked to the side of the building and asked the fairy if there was a Chuuya.

"There is, but I can't locate where it is."

Before the two could get a word out, the screams of the student body got their attention and Gina got everyone away from the scene. Once everyone was away from the Chuuya, Gina put Chain on the ground so the fairy could hide and the three transformed.

Precure! Wind my gears!

Clicking the pen and drawing on-air, Ayako got a high waisted layered skirt and a long sleeve shirt that went around below her shoulders. Placing her feet into a circle gave her mid-knee boots and stockings.

Long ponytails were made in her hair mid-back length garnet hair with the change to more of the rose tint. A top hat on a hairband soon followed and the pen made room in a bag which manifested from it.

Clicking the pen and drawing on-air, Gina got a bodice-like dress and an asymmetrical skirt that ended at her feet as it wrapped around the midthigh skirt of the dress with a bow placed at her stomach. She drew a square with her feet and as it glowed, she was given high heeled ankle boots and leggings.

A long ponytail was made in her short deep orange hair with the change to more of the lighter tint of the color, which also gave her a fringe. A watch at the starting point of the ponytail soon followed and the pen made room in a bag which manifested from it.

Clicking the pen and drawing on-air, Ako got a dress with a strap wrapped around the left shoulder and the skirt of the dress that ended midthigh and fabric that was split at the belly that wrapped around her. She drew a diamond with her feet and as it glowed, she was given heeled knee-high boots and thigh-high fishnets.

A long ponytail was made with her deep purple hair with the change to more of the lighter tint of the color, which went to her right. A gear was at the start of the ponytail and bat wings manifested on her back which was soon followed the pen making room in a bag manifested from it.

"May these wings help me to fly in the light of love. Cure Butterfly!"

"The clock that forever winds forwards and backward. Cure Watch!"

"May these wings guide me through the darkness and into the light of day. Cure Bat!"

"As the lights gather, may the past and future come together. Steampunk Precure!"

"Chuuya. Get them."

"Chuuya!"

Moving out of the way from the Chuuya, Ayako wasn't in the mood to fight and was starting to become a little brash in her decision making.

"Butterfly! What are you doing?!"

"Sorry, I just want to get rid of this thing."

"So do we, but let's be rational with our decisions and fighting. Okay?"

"Okay."

"Good, now lets work as a team."

Nodding, the trio fought and her teammates let her deal the final blow to the Chuuya once they had it cornered.

"May my wings save you poor soul. Precure! Butterfly Tornado!"

The Chuuya was purified and Deco left in a humph which left the girls smiling and hugging one another.

"Aw man."

"I cant believe we couldn't see the track people race."

"I for one am very glad I didn't get to race."

After announcing the winning classes for the festival, Ayako was grateful when her class came in second and left for home when the school was dismissed.
