"It is starting to get a little chilly," Ako said, rubbing her arms.

"Yeah." Gina sighed.

"Quick question," Ayako piped up. "What do your families usually do for Christmas?"

"My parents, sister, and I usually spend the Christmas week with my grandparents on my mother's side," Ako replied.

"What about your father's side?" Ayako questioned.

"We usually spend New Year's with them." Ako shrugged. "What about you Gina?"

"My family holds a party with both sides of the family attending it," Gina explained. "How does your family spend Christmas, Ayako?"

"On Christmas Eve, we spend time with my father's side of the family and spend Boxing Day with my mother's side." Ayako scratched her neck. "Christmas is usually me and my parents, along with my brothers if they are visiting."

"Your brother's don't visit for Christmas?" Ako gasped. "How rude of them?"

"My parents have told them as such, but they never visit and spend time with their friends instead of their family." Ayako looked to the sky. "I only wish they would make the time for us on Christmas instead of being out."

"Is that a Christmas Wish?" Ako teased.

"I guess." Ayako heaved.

"We should head back down so we're not late for classes," Gina suggested.

"Okay." Ayako sighed and Ako exclaimed.

Arriving home after school was new since the mostly chatty Ayako had been silent the entire walk. Gina wanted to do something for her friend since she wanted her to be happy.

"What seems to be the problem, Gina?" Fuyumi asked.

"I want to help brighten Ayako up, but I don't know how to," Gina confessed.

"Did she tell you about how her brothers usually don't come home for Christmas?" Fuyumi sat across from the girl.

"How did you know?" Gina shook her head.

"Eijiro told me." Fuyumi smiled.

"Does he and his brothers know how it makes her feel?" Gina inquired.

"They do." Fuyumi earned a look from the teen. "Their parents tell them each year about how Ayako would cry herself to sleep each Christmas night."

"Why do they continue to bail on her every Christmas if they know this is how she gets?" Gina stressed. "Ayako deserves so much better than this and I know it despite not having known her for an entire year."

"I have the feeling Ayako is touched by this." Fuyumi pointed and Gina turned.

"You heard that." Gina choked.

"Thank you for being a friend, Gina." Ayako hugged the girl.

"I should be the one thanking you." Gina returned the hug.

"Why?" Ayako whispered.

"You changed my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world." Gina tightened the hug.

"I feel the same way." Ayako returned the gesture.

Fuyumi got in on the hug and the silence surrounding them was one of comfort and peace.

"Thanks," Ayako let go. "I needed that."

"Glad we could help." Gina and Fuyumi exclaimed.

"Uh, girls." Gear got their attention.

"Yeah?" They look at the fairy.

"Daimu."

"Let's go."

Gathering at the park with Ako already fighting the Daimu, the trio got their pens and shared a nod with a look.

Precure! Wind my gears!

Clicking the pen and drawing on-air, Ayako got a high waisted layered skirt and a long sleeve shirt that went around below her shoulders. Placing her feet into a circle gave her mid-knee boots and stockings.

Long ponytails were made in her hair mid-back length garnet hair with the change to more of the rose tint. A top hat on a hairband soon followed and the pen made room in a bag which manifested from it.

Clicking the pen and drawing on-air, Gina got a bodice-like dress and an asymmetrical skirt that ended at her feet as it wrapped around the midthigh skirt of the dress with a bow placed at her stomach. She drew a square with her feet and as it glowed, she was given high heeled ankle boots and leggings.

A long ponytail was made in her short deep orange hair with the change to more of the lighter tint of the color, which also gave her a fringe. A watch at the starting point of the ponytail soon followed and the pen made room in a bag which manifested from it.

Clicking the pen and drawing on-air, Fuyumi got an asymmetrical skirt and a bodice that shaped her torso and chest. Placing her feet into a star gave her ankle boots and asymmetrical socks.

A long ponytail was made in her hair mid-back length grey hair with the change to more of the lighter tint. A crown was on her head soon followed and the pen made room in a bag which manifested from it.

"May these wings help me to fly in the light of love. Cure Butterfly!"

"The clock that forever winds forwards and backward. Cure Watch!"

"The stains on a robot aren't all that. Cure Rust!"

"Look who decided to join the party." Doori cooed.

"About time you three got here," Bat remarked as they kicked the monster.

"Sorry for being late." Butterfly apologized.

"It's okay, let's just fight." Bat jumped back into the fight.

Jumping around the scene of the fight, the group attack and dodge the Daimu as it comes for them.

"Shall we finish this?" Rust inquired.

"Yeah." the teens agreed.

"Precure! Change Ship!"

With their outfits changing to a creamy white with their colors as accents, the trio stood tall and looked ahead.

"Our synced light is to save you. Precure! Gear Change!"

"I'll get you all next time." Doori threatened, leaving.

"Yeah, right." The girls de-transformed.

"Got to get home," Ako ran off. "See you all net time."

"We should get home too," Fuyumi suggested. "Come on."

"Fuyumi, how did you and your family celebrate Christmas all those years ago?" Ayako asked.

"You want to know?" Fuyumi cocked an eyebrow.

"I was wondering about that too," Gina tapped her chin before turning to the older woman. "Can you please tell us?"

"Okay." Fuyumi smiled. "My family and I would . . ."
