During a picnic at the park while her older brothers were home, Ayako stretched and excused herself to take a walk. One of her brothers got up to walk with her and groaned when she saw him walking closer to her than he normally would be.
"Do you mind moving over several feet?" Ayako grumbled. "You're suffocating me."
"Sorry." He apologised, adjusting himself.
"Thank you." Ayako grouched. "Why were you standing so close to me anyway?"
"It's about the monsters that have been attacking recently," he admitted. "I don't want you to be hurt by one."
"I won't be attacked by one and besides," Ayako sighed. "If one does show up, the girls will take care of it."
"You mean, girl."
"No, I mean, girls."
"Girl."
"Girls."
"Girl."
"Are you sure it's a girl fighting them?"
"Yeah."
"What makes you say that?"
"I have only seen one girl fighting them. Are you sure it's multiple of them?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Why?"
"Three girls at my school fight them when they show up."
"When did they show up?"
"A week into April."
"This is strange."
"What do you mean?"
"A girl at my college appeared the same week the monsters showed up."
"This is strange."
"We should head back before Mother and Father think we're lost."
"Yeah."
As they were heading back to join the family, Ayako was surprised to see her parents talking with Ako and Gina's parents. Slowly making her way over to the family while behind her brother, Ayako made her way over to her friends.
"Are you Ayako Hagaruma?" Ako's mother turned to her.
"Uh, yeah, I am." Ayako bowed. "Pleased to meet you."
"Same here."
"It is nice to see you again, Hagaruma."
"It is nice to see you again too, Ma'am."
"How are you?"
"I'm doing well, how are you?"
"I am doing well too."
"May I ask why the two of you are here today?"
"Our daughters have been talking about you and thought we should all go for a walk to the park and hope to find you. It was quite convenient, huh?"
"Indeed."
A ruffle from Ayako's bag got everyone's attention and Ayako chuckled going over to her bag to check out what was wrong. Shrugging at Chain and the Princess in her bag, they gestured further into the park and slung the bag on her back once it was zipped up.
"May we ask what is going on?" Ako's Mother inquired.
"I think there was someplace in the park I wanted to show Gina and Ako." Ayako lied. "May I take them with me to show them?"
"Okay, but stay safe."
"Thank you."
Placing her bag behind a tree when they found a rampaging Chuuya, Ayako unzipped the bag and looked for who it was who could have summoned the monster and turned back to the others once she was sure who it was.
