One and a Half Months Later...

Everything's been going fine so far in the pregnancy. I'm seven and a half months pregnant. Christmas was the best one I had. I got Brendon the guitar and drum set he had been staring at for months. He loved them, and he didn't stop playing them until days later. Brendon got me concert tickets to see Ed Sheeran and a necklace with sapphires. We got Jess a $200 gift card to Khols which is her favorite store. We gave Joe and Patrick and Kenny new guitars, Pete and Dallon new basses, Andy and Spencer new drums, Elisa a new purse, Meagan a new pain of boots with studs, and Amelia, Knox, Saint and Declan toys and little outfits. New Years was great. Joe had a New Years party at his house, and we went over there. Everyone was drinking except for Andy and I. Of course Brendon and Dallon started making out, Pete and Patrick started making out. Jess got a little too drunk and started hugging onto me; she even kissed me. I sat there in shock until she stopped kissing me. Meagan, Elisa, Andy, and Spencer were all laughing at me, and I flipped them all off. The next day everyone had massive hangovers and kids to take care of except for Brendon and I... we just had Jess who was still a bit tipsy. Brendon wasn't any help because he was sleeping off a hangover all day. Jess was just staggering around the house singing horribly. Now it's the first week of February, and our days are filled with doctor visits and last minute planning.

"You ready for your doctor's appointment," Brendon asks me as he walks into the living room.

"Yeah," I weakly say.

"Are you still feeling bad," he asks me as a worried expression crosses his face.

"Y-Yeah," I say nodding.

Brendon lays his hand on my forehead and pulls his hand back.

"God, you're burning up," he says.

"I told you she had a fever a couple days ago," Jess says walking down the stairs with a blanket.

"But I'm cold," I say.

Brendon looks down at me and wraps the blanket around me. He leads me to the car, and we all three make our way to the doctor's. I hold my stomach protectively, and Brendon glances over at me.

"Will me running a fever hurt her," I ask.

"Hopefully not, but Dr. McCraw can tell us when we get there," Brendon says.

When we arrive at the doctor's Brendon helps me in while Jess signs in.

She walks back over to us and says, "They said you could come back now."

I nod, and Brendon helps me back there. The nurse takes my temperature and does all the regular check ups of my vitals... this time she takes a swab to see if I have anything contagious. After about twenty minutes pass, Dr. McCraw comes walking in.

"How are we feeling today Erica," she asks me.

"Sick," I say.

"I have the results back from the test, and it looks like you have the flu," she says looking at her clip board.

"Will it harm her," I ask looking down at my stomach.

"It could... it can cause her to be born early, but the sooner we get you better the quicker that risk goes away," Dr. McCraw says.

"What to you suggest we do," Brendon asks.

"Bed rest and to take your vitamins along with the medicine I will be giving you today. I want to see you again in a week and a half. Okay," she says.

"Okay," I say as she hands Brendon the prescription.

When we get in the car, Jess asks, "Would I be a terrible friend if I go and meet Taylor for a lunch date?"

"No, go have fun. He seems to like you a lot, and you've been helping out so much. You deserve it," I say.

"Thanks, I'll be back as soon as I can," she says getting out of the car.

"You heard Dr. McCraw. Bed rest for you," Brendon says.

Once we get the prescription, we go back home, and Brendon makes me go lay down while he fixes me a glass of water to go with the pills.

(A/N: Time Lapse. Not really feeling this chapter, but hopefully the next couple chapters will be good...)
