This Day Just Keeps Getting More and More Interesting

"Go get the doctors now," I tell Pete who has shock and fear written all over his face.
He quickly runs out of the room, and I turn back to Meagan who has he hand on her back, and she's hunched over.
"The doctors will be here soon," I say bending over slightly.
She nods and in runs the doctors and Pete trailing behind them. The guys move out of the way, and Patrick and I step aside as the doctors put her in a wheel chair and push her away as Pete runs after them. Brendon wraps his arms around me. He's sweaty and pale.

"Are you okay," I ask him.

"I'm fine, but you need some rest," he says running his fingers through his hair.

"No, I'm fine," I say.

"But you haven't actually sat down a long time today. Judging by your ankles, I can tell you're pretty tired and in pain," he says pointing down at my ankles.

"Yeah, you need to rest for the baby. Stress isn't good for it," Patrick says.

"B-B-But... I'm fine, and my ankles don;t hurt," I lie.

"Too bad. I'll make the doctors tie you down if that's what it takes. You need to rest," Brendon softly says.

"Fine, you're too hard headed to argue with," I mumble.

"That's right. Now lay down on that couch over there," he says.

I walk over there and lay down. He sits down on the opposite end and rubs my ankles and feet. He starts to hum softly, and my eyelids start to get heavy. I eventually fall asleep. I'm woke up by someone rubbing my forehead. I look up to see my mom standing above me with a smile on her face.

"Hi, I didn't mean to wake you up," she whispers.

"Why are you whispering," I groggily ask.

She points to Brendon who's sitting up sleeping with his head down on his chest. He's snoring slightly, and Dallon and Kenneth are laying against the couch asleep.

"You poor things must be exhausted," she says looking at Patrick and Elisa.

Elisa's laying in bed holding Patrick's hand. She looks like she is in a world of pain.

"How far along is she," I ask.

"She's almost there, but if it takes any longer than two more hours; the doctors will have to do a c-section," she whispers.

"I'm going to see Meagan," I say sneaking up not waking up Brendon, but he stirs slightly.

"What room is she in," I ask Patrick.

"She's next door," he says rubbing Elisa's forehead.

I nod and slowly walk out of the room. The door's open, and Andy, Joe, Pete's parents, and Meagan's parents are in there. Andy and Joe are sitting up asleep in the same position as Brendon. Meagan's laying in bed sweaty, and Pete's standing there holding her hand rubbing his thumb over her hand.

"Hey," I quietly say walking in.

"Hey," Pete says.

"Hi," Meagan quietly says.

Pete and Meagan's parents look at me, and Pete says, "This is Erica Stump. Erica this is our parents."

"Nice to meet you," I say giving a small smile.

"Nice to meet you too," they say, and we shake hands.

"How are ya doing Meagan," I ask her walking to the side of the bed.

"It hurts like fucking hell, but I'm almost fully dilated," she sighs.

"Well, I'm scared as crap right now... knowing that I have this to look forward to," I say nervously laughing.

"It was a whole lot worse than this, but then they gave me the numbing medicine," she says.

"Well, thank God for medicine," I say.

"Yeah," she says.

"So what are you guys going to name it," I ask.

"Saint Lazslo Wentz if it's a boy, and Autumn Nicole Wentz if it's a girl," Pete says as Meagan nods.

"Cool," I say before my phone starts ringing.

"Ughh, give me a sec," I say.

"Okay.... Hey Erica take care of you and the baby instead of worrying about everyone else," Pete says.

I nod and walk out of the room. I look down at my phone and see that the prison near my old high school and home's calling me. My heart to speeds up. Who could it be?

"H-H-Hello," I stutter.

"Hey Erica," Calvin says faking the Innocent tone.

"C-C-Ca-livn," I stutter in disbelief.

This can't be happening. Of all people I never thought I would have to deal with again. How did he even get my number? I changed it after the accident.

"Yeah, it's me. I just wanted to see how you were doing," he says.

"How did you get my number," I quietly ask.

"I have my ways," he says.

"But I just wanted to say that my lawyer has connections, and he's pretty good at his job... lets just say that I'm getting out earlier than expected on a five year probation," he says.

"N-N-No you're lying," I stutter as my heart beats ninety to nothing.

"But I'm not. I swear," he says.

I can't breathe. This can't be happening. Why's the room spinning?

"See you around," he says hanging up.

The room starts to spin around faster, and I lean against the wall. It feels as if I were being stranggled. The room spins faster faster until I start seeing black spots. Everything sounds muffled. I quickly stagger into the bathroom and lock the door behind me. I look around for something. I need Brendon. Why did I come in here? There's a button on the wall, and I push it. Just when the nurses and doctors come into the room, everything fades into blackness.

When I wake up, Brendon and my parents are standing above me.

"What happened," I weakly ask.

"The nurses and doctors found you in the bathroom, and you passed out," my mom worriedly says.

I automatically reach down to my stomach.

"The baby's fine. Just a little shaken up from the impact," my dad says.

"Can you tell us what happened," Brendon softly asks.

That's when I remember that Calvin's getting out of prison. He told me that he would be seeing me around. I start to take short and shallow breaths.

"Can I talk to you alone, Bren," I ask him trying to hold back tears.

"Sure," he says sitting down beside me as my parents walk out of the room.

"C-C-Calvin called, and he's getting out of prison. He said that he would be seeing me around. I-I don't want to see him ever again Brendon. I'm afraid that if I see him he'll do something again or take the baby," I ramble on.

Brendon clenches his jaw and says, "If that sick bastard ever comes around you again, I'll knock him out so hard that he'll be in the ninth ring of Hell."

I start crying, and Brendon wraps his arms around me.

"Shhhh, it'll all be alright," he softly says.

I nod, and we lay down together. He rubs my head, and I fall asleep crying.
