Chapter 30

I just smiled at his confession. He picked me up bridal style and swayed me like a baby. We both laughed together. It was something new, something foreign to me.

"Alas! You are mine now." He said. "I am not your property Mr."I replied and glared at him. "You just wait, even that would be done." He said and smirked. I smacked on his head lightly. 

"Mrs Kim must be waiting for us. We need to go."I said and we both made our way downstairs. Mrs Kim had already served the dishes. We both sat beside each other to eat. We all did not utter a word while eating because of the embarrassing situation before. 

I heard a buzz from my mobile. I opened it. It was a message from Tae.

Speak something to eomma, the air is becoming awkward ~By taetae

What should I say? She is your mother. You talk to her. ~By Me

I am embarrassed af. 

None of my sibling ever had such a moment with my parents.

Besides, Women have the special ability to gossip. Start a topic. ~By taetae

"Both of you stop texting each other and eat." Mrs Kim said and smirked at us. We both were so shocked that our chopsticks fell down in our bowl together. How did she know? We both did not utter a word after then. 

After like a long ride, we reached Seoul. Taehyung accompanied me to the hospital to meet eomma. His meeting was two hours later so he decided to come with me. 

I opened the door to her hospital room  to find someone with eomma. The person's back was facing me so I could not see him. He looked familiar from the back though. Both of them realised our presence so they looked towards us. 

The person was none other than my Appa.

I stood there in shock trying to engulf the situation down my throat. My face turned pale. There were rush of so many emotions. Anger, sadness, hate, but all of them were negative emotions. 

"What is this man doing here?" I asked eomma after gathering up the courage to speak.

"Hyerin....." Appa said when I cut him off rudely. "You Shush!" I said and glared at him. "Hyerin, he is your Appa. This no way to speak to him like that." Eomma yelled at me. I was taken aback by her outburst. She has lectured me but never yelled at me.

"You are such a wicked person. First, you leave us and now comeback after so many years and even take eomma back. I hate you." I said to him and then left the room immediately. Taehyung witnessed the whole scene. He tried to stop me but I made my way to the hospital's garden.

I went and sat on a bench there. I wanted to cry so badly but no tears flowed down my cheek. I just stared in space with rush of questions in my mind. Taehyung came and sat beside me. He held cheek and made me rest my face on his shoulder.

"Cry." He said. I could not stop myself this time and cried on his shoulders for a whole ten minutes. I wiped away the tears and then just stared at space.

"Why did he come back?" I asked him. "He left you because he was no more a superhero for you. He could not see you or your eomma struggling for money. He was a coward to face the reality. He has realised his mistake though. He wants his family back. He loves you all a lot. The good thing out of this is he is currently the richest person of Korea."Taehyung said.

"What?" I asked could not believe what he said. He just left us for two years.  Its not possible for him. "Yes. He has taken over the Sungyemeon company. If it was for him, he would have never come back to you all. He would have married some other woman and set up a new family but he came back to you because he loves you a lot." He said. There was silence for two minutes. I was lost in the flashbacks of me and Appa playing, having fun and many more. We were so happy back then. 

"You need to talk it out with him." Tae said. I nodded agreeing with his statement. "Thanks." I said to him. "Thanks?...... Hyerin, there are then endless times I should 'thank you' for everything you did to me until now. Do I start then?" He said and raised his eyebrows. 

"NO!" I exclaimed because the last time I remember he went on saying thanks for nearly half an hour and my tears were almost in the verge of bleeding. I immediately left the garden and went back to my eomma's ward.
