Chapter 31

I went back to eomma's ward. I opened the door to her room. Appa was still there. They realised that I was back so they looked towards me. Appa came towards me and hugged me.

"Hyerin, I am sorry what I have done. I am sorry for leaving you all to struggle alone. It was painful to leave you all and all the more painful to live without you. It was difficult to leave you especially princess. There was not even a second when I did not miss you for past years. I am sorry princess." He apologized and tears flowed down his cheek.I melted at the word 'princess'. Eventhough me and eomma had to struggle a lot because of him, still we love him. He is apart of our family.

"I will forgive you but before that you have to promise me about some things." I said and he nodded agreeing with me.

"You will never leave us ever again at any cost. You will never leave us just because you business got down instead we will fight our problems together. You will stay with us until our or yours' last breath." I said with tears flowing down my cheeks. I missed him a lot. 

"I promise." He said in between his sobs. I hugged him again. 

"Even I am here." Eomma said and then we did a group hug. We all laughed together after the reconciliation.

~Skip time~

Since Appa had become the richest person of Korea, the media was all over us 24X7. Me and eomma were flashed all over the news channel as being the family of Appa. Our privacy had been hindered but it was the cost of being the richest.  It was good for oppa because he was staying abroad.

Appa had set up his business at Seoul but it was my last year of high school so he bought a house just two blocks away from Tae's. Appa and eomma were aware about our relationship and they were quite happy about it. Even the media was aware about it so we did not have more frequent dates outside cause they were all around us. We used to generally hangout at each other's house.

My friends at school were also happy hearing that Appa was back and eomma had fully recovered. They were also quite supportive about me and Tae's relationship. 

I received a mail from the Australian University of Computer Sciences claiming that I was selected. I was happy about it but a thought crossed my mind. I have not yet told Appa and eomma about it. Will they accept it?

I woke up early in the morning and went downstairs to have breakfast with eomma and Appa. I thought to tell them about my selection after having breakfast. After having a delicious breakfast I announced that I had to tell them something.

We all had seated ourselves on the couch comfortably. I was facing eomma and Appa. I was gathering up the courage to speak but my voice wasn't coming out. I thought I turned mute for a while.

"What happened Hyerin? What do you want to tell us?" Appa asked me. I opened up my mobile phone and showed them the e-mail. They read it carefully.

"Its written you are selected for some Australian University." Eomma said and I nooded.

"Hmm so?" Appa asked. " I want to got to Australia for further studies. I want to major in Computer Sciences." I said.

"Honey, you need to leave us then." Eomma said with a worried expression on her face. "I know but it is a matter of only four years." I tried to explain them.

"Seoul National University is also good. You can do your major there and I think even Tae is applying there." Appa said. 

"That's the problem. It is good not the best. I have really worked hard to get into this university. Its my dream. Moreover, I can explain it to Tae. I hope he will understand." I said. They both sighed together.

"Fine, you can go. We cannot shatter your dreams." Appa said and I ran towards them for a group hug.

I was too happy that I finally got the permission to go to Australia. I was jumping on the bed in happiness when a thought crossed my mind.

'How to explain this to Tae?'

'I hope he understands.'
