I slid down the couch crying loudly. I cannot take it anymore. First Appa and now eomma. My family is drifting apart. Mrs Kim came and hugged me but still I did not stop crying.
"Don't cry Hyerin-ah. Your mother is a strong woman. She will comeback for sure. We are giving her the best treatment. Do not worry." She said to comfort me. Slowly, I calmed myself down.
"Can we go and meet her?"I asked her. "By the time we reach there visiting hours will be closed." She replied.
"Hyerin, you can no longer live alone here. Your mother have asked me to take care of you. You need to shift at our house." She said. "What about my school?" I asked her. I cannot shift school in the midst of my semester.
"I mean at our Daegu house where Taehung stays." She said and I became completely blank. Living under one house with Taehyung. After what I did, he won't let me live in peace.
"Can I not stay here?" I asked her. "Hyerin, I have promised her to take care of you. Your neighbourhood is not that safe for you to live alone.I am sorry. You need to leave this house." She replied. I packed a lot of things in a huge back and made my way downstairs. Mrs Kim ordered her driver to carry the bag to the trunk of her car and we immediately left my house.
~At Taehyung's Place~
Mrs Kim entered the password for the door to open. We entered the house and found Taehyung sitting on the couch watching a drama in the living room. He felt our presence so he turned around to look who it was. His eyes widen in shock as soon as he saw my face.
"Eomma, you came back from Seoul? Why is Hyerin here?" He asked. "Hyerin is gonna stay here for a longer time because Mrs Park has got a job at our hospital at Seoul as a nurse." Mrs Kim lied. She doesn't want to tell everyone about this.
"Minhyuk, Please take Hyerin's bag upstairs to the room opposite to Tae's." She ordered. "Wait."Taehyung said to Minhyuk and we all looked at him in confusion.
"Why opposite to mine? There are many other bedrooms." He said. Hmpf. As if I want a room opposite to his. No one wants to hear those dirty noises at night when he is with his 'girlfriends'.
"If there is an emergency, it is better if you both are close to each other." She replied. "But..." Taehyung was about to say something when Mrs Kim glared at him and he immediately shut his mouth.
"Hyerin, settle yourself here and then come downstairs to have dinner." Mrs Kim said. I just nodded as a reply. I went upsatirs and quickly unpacked my back, had a shower in that exclusive bathroom and changed into some comfy clothes. After I was done with everything, I went downstairs and there was still a load of time for dinner and I was hungry.
"Excuse me Mrs Kim, Do you know where are the snacks?" I asked her. She was at the dining area calling someone because Taehyung was watching television at the living room which must be disturbing her.She was about to get up but she was busy doing something so I stopped her.
"Just tell me where it is, I will get it. You please continue your work." I said. She told me where the snacks were located. I quickly grabbed the snacks and went back to the dining area.
Mrs Kim was rubbing her temples aggressively. She seems to have some problem.
"What happened? Is there any problem?" I asked her. "No. Its just I am finding a maid for this house but no one seems to work for us. They seem to not work because of that brat." She said. By 'brat' she meant Taehyung and I feel pity for her.
"I will do the house chores. You are helping me a lot. At least this much I can do." I said. "No. You cannot do it alone. You will be going to the last year of High school. Your workload will be more plus you have to work for your entrance examinations as well." She rejected my offer.
"But there is no one to do the house chores as well. Let me do it." I reasoned back. "Fine, but you will not do alone. Taehyung will also help." She said. I was about to reject Taehyung's help when someone else spoke and it was Taehyung who was standing behind listening to our conversation from god knows when.
"Why should I do? If she is willing to do it alone, let her do it." Taehyung said.
"No. I cannot let her do the house chores alone. You will help her and that is my final decision." She ordered. No one can go against it now.
"Aunt Lia will be staying with you both for 10 days. She will help you a bit in house chores until you both get familiar with it." She said and we just nodded as a reply.
