Chapter 25

From that time, he did not utter a word, only when it is some school related stuff. It was a peace time for me so that I can think of what should I do of Tae. I know I cannot stay with Jungkook for long and Mrs Kim will probably come back by this or next weekend to DaeGu. She will not want me to see disappeared from the house.

I thought of forgiving him the next day but I found a letter on my bench. It was from Taehyung. I chuckled looking at it. I opened up the letter and read it. He was not present at that time. The letter was really disheartening. I feel pity for him. He has been through lot after I left. I thought to play along with him for some days.

I quickly went back to my locker and placed the letter inside. I made my way back to the classroom before the teacher arrived. Taehyung also arrived just after I came back.

"Did you read the letter?" He asked me. I did not reply and pointed at the small dustbin situated at the back of the class. He just sighed in return.

The next day I received black orchids with a letter. He knows what are my favourites. I took them back at Jungkook's house to water them and to keep them alive. Whenever he used to ask what I did with them, I used to just point at the dustbin.

The next day I received a cheese cake and one more letter. I decided to forgive him that day. It was lunch time, I was organising my locker when I heard a voice.

"Hyerin,.."Chanyeol called me and I turned around. Everyone was standing there with Tae in the middle. I was about to turn back around, because I know they came to support Tae, when Tae stopped me.

"Hyerin, please don't. Not this time." He said and that voice melted me within a second. I did not turn around this time. I was ready to hear him.

"I miss you Hyerin a lot. Your smell, your warmth, the moments we shared together. Everything. The late night games, the movie marathons, birthday celebrations, the cuddles,the fights and uncountable other memories we created. Don't you miss them? We have been together since we were born. Eventhough we could not get along many a times since we were born, just being together created those memories. The day you left, my own house looked like hell to me. Your absence brought back the darkness that was once created when my family left me here and shifted to Seoul. The house has become cold, messy and stinky since the day you left. Please come back and fill it with your warmth and happiness. I want you by my side my whole wife. No friend of mine has been so close to me. You are the only one who truly knows me from outside and within. I can only open to you. You are the most important part of my life. Please come back Hyerin. Please come back. " He said and burst out in tears. Tears rolled down my eyes as well. Flashbacks of our memories flowed through my mind.  I quickly went and hug him. He cried on my shoulders making my shirt wet. I pat his back to calm him down.

"You are making my shirt wet Tae." I said and he broke the hug slowly. He was still looking down trying to hold back his tears. "I am sorry." He whispered.

"Did you forgive me?" He asked in a whisper. "No. I like to hug my nemesis." I said sarcastically and laughed a bit. He smiled at my reply. I  opened my locker and grabbed the cheesecake he had given me. 

"Want to eat some cheesecake?" I asked him. He looked at the box and was shooked. "Did you not throw it?" He asked. "No. Instead I have everything that you had given to me. The letters and the orchids. I cannot loose my bestfriend's gift." I said to him.

 It was a good time to eat something sweet. I opened the box and took a spoonful of it and shove it in his mouth. He also did the same. We just stared at each other for a moment when other coughed distracting us. 

"We also want some." Jungkook said and snatched the box away from me. We both chuckled looking at him. Taehyung fetched a thing from his pocket. It was my necklace.

He put it around my neck. Our faces were dangerously close to each other. I stood shook there. "Do not remove it from next time sweetheart." HE said and kissed my ear. I was shocked as fuck.

"Can we go now lovebirds?" Kai said.

"No we are not." I said.

"Soon to be." Taehyung said. I looked at him again in shock. "I am just kidding. Look at your shocked face. It can be a meme face." He said and laughed. I realised the joke that was being pulled on me so my gaze turned into glare. He ran away immediately towards the cafeteria.

"Kim Taehyung, You bastard. Just wait." I said and ran behind him.
