Now Or Never ( Colby Brock X Reader )

Chapter 5

It has been a few days since I left Colby's place after spending three days there. I decided to chill out at my place and not hang out with anyone since I have been hanging out a lot. I got on youtube while I was making waffles. I saw that my account gained some subscribers and my video with Corey got 100 likes so far. I'm pretty sure Corey and Colby shared the link to my video. I looked at the comments to see nice comments. I was happy to see only good comments for once. I kept looking and no hate comments. "Hm..Weird" I said to myself. I put the phone down to get my waffles sat at the kitchen table. My phone started to ring and it was Katrina. "Hey" I answered. "Hey, I noticed there were hate comments on Colby's pictures with you...just don't pay attention to them" I told her I would try not to and we continued to talk for about 30 minutes.

I decided to make a video by myself, pretty much introducing myself. I did not have an intro or outro like other youtubers did. But I made it work.

I clicked upload after watching the video to see if it was good enough. When I was happy with it I clicked upload. I layed on the couch and turned on the T.V and watched some shows trying to figure out other things to do, the rest of the day. I decided I would play Pac-man for a while and I was almost beating my own high score. When I almost did, my phone went off which startled me a bit. I looked to see it was a text from Corey. "Hey y/n. I saw that the video got views and you gained subs, Im happy for you" I answered. "Aw thanks and thanks for helping by the way" It took a bit for a reply from Corey to I continued to play Pac-man. I noticed Colby was not texting me, witch was weird. It was Saturday at 12pm. I assumed he was just asleep. I turned off my game and went into my room. I layed on my bed watching youtube for a while to see if I could get Ideas for my next video. It was about to be 1pm so I decided to make some lunch. I looked in my kitchen to see what I could make. I finally decided to make a salad since it was fast and easy. I played some music and the "Scaring Kids Scaring Kids" Came on. I did not realize it was Colby calling me until the same song played over and over. I picked up the phone.

"Hey Colby, how are you?'' I asked him.

" I'm pretty good, how about you?" Colby asked

"Eh, Im okay just pretty sleepy.." I replied as I continued to make the salad.

"What have you been up to?" Colby asked as he smiled at me.

I giggled " Well I was playing video games for most the day, you?" I asked

"I have slept most the day actually" Colby replied

We ended up talking for a few hours and we laughed a lot. My heart skipped a few beats when Colby said my name.

"Y/N.."

"Yea?" I replied

" are you single?" Colby asked

My heart skipped a few beats.. "Yea I am" I replied.

I saw him smile and my heart started to melt. "I swear you have a cute smile" I said not knowing I said it out loud.

"Aw thanks. You have a cute smile as well" Colby told me

We decided to keep talking until I needed to take a shower. I was thinking back to when Colby asked if I was single. I Really think that he is starting to like me. But then again he was probably asking for a friend of his. I will know one day.  Once I was out, I texted Colby to see what he was up to. I was putting on clothes to wear to sleep. It took a while for Colby to text back, so I assumed he was getting ready for bed as well. I laid down and turned on a movie. Five minutes into the movie I saw that Colby texted.

"Hey, sorry I was getting ready for a shower. I was thinking and honestly I want to talk and get to know you more. But I did not know how to tell you that. But oh well. Know you know lol. Anyway, are you still up cutie?" 

I looked at the text smiling and thought to my self as my smile faded. " But why me though? I am not really interesting so why would someone like Colby want to speak to me?" I shook it off and decided to be happy about it. I noticed I was distracted when I saw Colby, texted again. "Sorry If I woke you.." I thought to myself that he was sorry, he woke me even though he didn't. "No, Colby I'm still up. I was thinking I'm sorry" 

He texted back pretty fast, that he was happy I was still up cause he wanted to talk more. "I don't know if I already asked...but what bands or music do you like?" I texted the types of music and bands I like.  We found out we had a like in some of the same bands... we started to send pictures and I decided to send one of me smiling. He sent a picture he took off of snap chat with the caption "You have a cute smile" I giggled.  I can't believe Colby is calling my smile cute. He is probably just being nice... I shook it off thinking it was just that. We continued texting while I, was watching a movie. After a while the replies became slow... My phone started to ring and I answered. 

"Hey..I wanted to call to say goodnight and hope you sleep well" Colby said to me

"Aw that is sweet. I hope you sleep well and goodnight to you as well" I replied. We hung up and I finished the movie before I got up, to brush my teeth. There was a text on Instagram from an account I don't follow. " Hey I'm sorry, but you need to stay away from Colby. He is mine! He is only talking to you cause he feels bad. He can do better than that" I sat there for a few minutes. 

" Aw are you scared? Good. Cause you should be" The person texted 

"Dude...just go and mess with someone else. If you fans get this toxic when he is near a girl then you are not a real fan" I replied. The account stopped replying, I guess they gave up or something. I did not worry about it cause it was probably just some toxic 12 year old. I laid back down and texted Tara.

I sent a screen shot of the conversation to Tara.

"I never understand why fans are like that. I mean if they are like that then they are not even real fans." Tara replied

" I agree...Like can Colby be happy without people like that being there?" I replied to Tara.

" Honestly, I don't know. But I don't think they will ever fully go away. There will always be that "Fan" no matter what" I replied

Tara and I texted for a while before we both decided to go to sleep. As I was falling asleep I was thinking back, to the conversation Colby and I had all day.
