Chapter 14

A few days have past and it was finally Saturday. Colby and I were not texting as much as I hoped we would. It started to worry me honestly. There was probably a reason why, but honestly, I need to just let it go. I am going to the mall and I won't have much fun if I'm worried about something. I started to pick out an outfit for the day. Cassie was already on her makeup. After Cassie and I were both ready, we posted on our story that we were hanging out, before leaving. I was looking through Instagram while Cassie was driving. I was texting some of my friends, telling them what Cassie and I were doing. They all seemed busy with something as well. Which was understandable. Some had to do youtube, make music, or photoshoot.

I saw a new message had popped up, and I looked down to see it was from Colby.

ColbyBrock: Hey you doing ok? 12:20 Pm

Y/N: Yea... are you? 12:23 Pm

ColbyBrock: Yea, just a little busy. 12:26 Pm

Colby and I stopped texting since we would both be busy. I looked at my phone one last time and saw a new post on Colby's secret account. It was a bouquet of flowers. It was probably for a photoshoot and thought they were good enough for a picture. I looked up when Cassie called my name. She wanted me to help her, switch lanes. We were only five minutes from the mall. Once we got there we decided to eat at the court since we both wanted to eat something. When we got in and ordered our food, Cassie and I sat down while having a conversion. We were talking about what stores we were going to look at. We finally got our food and started to eat. While eating I saw someone walking around, the person looked like Colby. But I knew it couldn't be him, he said he was busy. I shook it off and continued to eat while talking to Cassie. After we finished eating we got refills on our drink before going to shop.

"Want to go into Sephora with me?" Cassie asked me.

"Yeah sure, I need to get some new makeup anyways," I replied.

"We can choose a lipstick for each other!" Cassie told me.

"That's not a bad idea," I replied

We continued making our way to Sephora while talking about our plans. I looked around and saw the person again that looked like Colby. It was probably just my mind messing with me. I mean I did miss him. We also have not seen each other in person for like, two or more weeks. And I was also excited to meet him again, so we can talk everything out. Cassie called my name getting my attention.

"Are you ok?" Cassie asked me.

"Yea, I was just thinking about something," I replied.

"Okay, I hope so. Are you ready to go into Sephora?" Cassie asked me.

I looked and saw that we were by the store. "Yea," I replied.

We both walked into Sephora and looked around. I saw a few things I liked, but they were out of my price range. Cassie said the stuff was out of her price range as well. We decided to only do lipstick for each other.  Once we walked out of the store we gave each other what we bought. I bought Cassie a red lipstick and Cassie got me a metallic purple color. Cassie and I went to a few other stores before taking a break. We took a few pictures together and posted them on our story. We started to talk about plans for Halloween since it was like a few weeks away at this point. Which was crazy, this year went by pretty fast.

We were thinking about having a Halloween party.

What sucked is that none of us have a costume idea yet. We need to come up with an idea fast.

I looked on my Instagram real quick and saw there were no new messages from anyone. It kind of surprised me honestly. I scrolled through the feed seeing only a few new posts. Most of them were just my friends saying they uploaded. I saw that Colby was in the clip of the video, Brennen posted. Well now I know that person that I keep thinking is Colby, for sure isn't him. I noticed Cassie was texting a lot, but like always I just thought it was Reggie. I wanted to go to Spencer's so I could get a lava lamp for my room.

"Do you want to help me pick a lava lamp out?" I asked Cassie.

"From Spencer's?" Cassie asked me.

"Yea, I want one for my room," I replied.

"Yea, let's go ahead and go there," Cassie told me while getting up.

We both started to make our way there after I got up. I kept looking at my phone hoping Colby messages me. I decided to just put my phone in my pocket, in hopes of making me check it less. Once we arrived at the store Cassie and I walked straight to the lava lamps. There were a few cool ones. But I decided to keep looking. One finally caught my eye and I asked Cassie her thoughts on it. She said it looked cool and to go ahead and buy it. Once I bought it, I decided to look at one last store, which was Hot Topic. I wanted to kind of avoid it since it was the place Colby and I met. But you know, I can't let that stop me from looking. Cassie said she wanted to look around in there as well.

We both once again started to walk to the store. When we arrived I went to look at the jewelry. I grabbed a few things and went to look at the jeans. I noticed Cassie texting again, but she was typing pretty fast. Which I found weird. She really never typed that fast, but oh well. I grabbed two pairs of jeans. I didn't know there was a huge sale until a worker came up to me and told me. I went to the shirts since I have been wanting some new ones. I was back and forth cause, I had trouble choosing between some shirts. I started to make my way to the clearance rack and bumped into someone. Just like I did when Colby and I met. I picked my things up and the person helped.

"I'm so sorry," The person said.

The voice sounded familiar. I wondered why.

"It's okay don't worry," I told the person. Why was the same thing that happened when I met Colby, happening now? The same exact way as well.

"I'm Y/N," I told the person before I looked up.

" I'm Colby, nice to meet you," He told me before looking into my eyes, and smiling.

"I thought you were busy," I told him.

"Nah, I only made that up," Colby replied.

"You didn't make a video with Brennen?" I asked.

"No, I ran to his house and we made a quick Instagram video, to make it look like we did," Colby told me.

"Why?" I asked.

"I wanted to surprise you. Cassie and I planned this." Colby told me.

"Really?" I asked Colby.

"Yea," Colby replied as he smiled.

"Do you wanna start over?" Colby added.

"Sure if you want to," I replied.

Colby giggled a bit and smiled.

Colby, Cassie, and I walked outside.

"So since we have each others Instagram and numbers, we can start over like this. Y/N, do you want to be friends?" Colby asked.

"Yes I do," I replied.

Colby and I hugged each other.

"I missed you," Colby told me, looking into my eyes.

"I missed you to Colby," I replied.
