Chapter 6 - Empathy

Hiro and I stood on a train on our way to school when a stranger pointed to us and said "Holy crap...you're the Midoriya twins right"? Hiro took the lead smiling and consenting for them to take our picture. He put his arm over my shoulders and smiled as the other people took our picture. I looked to my brother and saw his smiling face. The last time he smiled that way when he was with me, besides when I came back home we were 4 and it was before I knew I was quirkless.

It was...embarrassing to say, but I missed the smile he showed when he was happy. It very practically disappeared when I was around him. It made me happy, then sad, then angry. But I hid them.

When we entered class everyone began talking about the attention they got from the sports festival. Aizawa came in the room completely out of his bandages and fully healed. He explained to us the internships he also showed a board for the number of internships each student was opportune-d. I looked to the board and saw I had 45 offers while Hiro had 4123 offers tie-ing with Shoto.

Everyone was surprised at the fact I had so little offers when I placed top 3. I didn't really care though but Katsuki was surprisingly calm. Aizawa told us even if we had no offers at all that we'd still intern for a hero.

Midnight came in after Aizawa went to sleep and told us that we'd have 15 minutes to choose our hero names. I tuned most of my classmates out only tuning in when Hiro went up.

The name he chose was Alastair it was a Scottish name meaning 'Defender' it suited him and the hero suit he had. When it was my turn to go I followed Todoroki and Iida's example and just wrote my name much to Midnight's disappointment. When class ended I packed my bag and was going to walk home with Hiro but he was already gone by the time the bell rung.

I decided to wait at the entrance of UA.

Hiro POV

When class ended All Might appeared and practically dragged me away. "I'll get straight to the point. You've received a nomination from a hero by the name of Gran Torino".
"Really? I don't know any hero's by the name of Gran Torino".

"That's because he's retired" All Might said. All Might began mumbling to himself and shaking in fear. After he snapped out of it he explained further. "Gran Torino was a close friend of my Predecessor and he knows about One for All which might be why he wants to train you. I'm aware that it is my duty to train you and that you have lots of promising hero agencies that want you but you should choose Gran Torino's agency".

'Somebody even All Might fears'!
"Okay All Might I won't let you down sir" I said.

I began to think about what Todoroki said during the Sports festival. "All Might can I ask you something"? I asked.

All Might faced me and said "Of course Midoriya".

"During the Sports festival Shoto asked me if I was your illegitimate child-
All might seemed to be trying not to laugh as I told him that. "His basis for his theory was that you and I showed to have a special relationship". I said

"Well I could see how he'd think that. We do have more contact than regular teacher and student...so it's settled! I will strive to be more attentive to the rest of my class"!

"But there was also another reason! He told me that Izuku seemed to despise you. And the more I watched over the more couple of days the more believable it sounds. The first thing Izuku did when he got home was tear down all the merchandise of you. Plus the looks he gives you are dirty and he seems to want to avoid you whenever and however he can. So my question is- - why?"
