Alex’s POV
I enjoy a few things, really.
I enjoy drinking tea while watching the sunset. I enjoy wearing oversized sweaters and pretty underwear to sleep. I enjoy listening to Fall Out Boy’s old songs. I enjoy painting when I’m angry because I tend to get creative.
But nothing compares to waking up to the sound of soft snores from Luke Hemmings, as his chest lazily rises up and down behind my back, his arms embracing my hips. I really enjoy Luke’s company.
I would love to just lay here with him next to me for ages, but I remembered it was Sunday, which means I had yet again to be part of my family’s weekly breakfast buffet. I sighed, carefully untangling myself from Luke’s arms. I smiled as I watched the blonde boy’s tired eyes and messy hair, he looked so peaceful and just beautiful in that moment. His face was covered by my duvets, only his nose and a few strands of hair peeking out from them.
My stomach was grumbling, which meant I had to check up on whatever Jessica was cooking. As soon as I arrived to the kitchen, I found my parents fully dressed up in casual clothes already.
“Sunday, food day!” My dad cheered, lifting up his mug.
“Morning.” I waved to everyone and by everyone I meant my dad, mom, Jessica and little Malia.
Malia embraced my leg, making it difficult to walk. With Malia on my leg, I walked over to reach for one of the many pancakes Jessica had made.
“Hold on, I’ll just go change.” I mumbled as I practically ran back to my room. Without my parents noticing, I had taken one pancake with me as well in case Luke was hungry, which I’m pretty sure was the case.
When I got back to my room, I found Luke sitting cross-legged on my bed, his phone between his hands, and a smug smirk on his face. In a sudden move, he had taken a picture of me with his phone.
“Very mature of you, Hemmings.” I rolled my eyes before jumping in the bed and straddling him. “Now, give me back that.”
Luke looked back at me, gulping. “Uh, I’d prefer if we stayed like this.” He smirked once again, his hands finding their way to my hips.
I rolled off of him, suddenly feeling quite embarrassed. “I brought you breakfast.” I looked down at my hand, still holding the pancake.
“Feed me.” Luke said, opening his mouth and pointing to it with his fingers.
“Are you serious?” I walked back and tossed my pancake at him, which resulted in it landing straight in his face, causing him to giggle.
“You’re such a mean person.” He recalled as I hid in my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and hair, and washed my normally oily face before putting on some BB cream and heading out to the smaller room were all my clothes were arranged by color because according to Jessica it was easier to find certain clothes that way.
I looked around for awhile until I found a simple black dress, which I paired with a flower patterned kimono and black jelly shoes. I knew my parents would want to go out anywhere today, every Sunday we would either visit some family or friends of them or have dinner somewhere.
“You look nice.” Luke complimented as I walked out to the room.
“And you need to get out of here soon or my parents will see you.” I countered back, giving him a peck on his lips, earning a smile from him as he kissed back.
“We don’t want that, do we?” Luke said as his lips traced my jaw.
“Obviously not.” I tried to form a coherent sentence, but Luke’s lips were currently attached to his new favorite spot on my neck, which resulted to be mine as well.
