Hunting Freecss: Hunter Exam (Killua X OC)

"We pass!" I exclaimed in excitement.

I wasn't sure we were going to make it through. Especially after I realized the spider web we hung to, despite its huge size and its resistance, clearly wasn't strong enough to sustain all the candidates.

The fact that geezer went off before the web broke was a coincidence. And the fact that it's winds were strong enough to carry 42 candidates in the air was just sheer, dumb luck.

"Yeah!" Gon replied. "I was really scared we'd have to come back next year..."

I nodded and looked back at Menchi, our blue haired examiner, who was boiling our dream eggs. I smiled at her.

She showed us how to accomplish this task. If it weren't for her guidance, we would all be at the end of that crevasse, dead.

"I'll be right back." I said, walking away from the rest of the group. They watched me do so with curious expressions but didn't insist.

I looked into my bag and pulled out one of my food containers. "Hey." I said while smiling up at the tall woman. "Hey." She repeated.

I handed her the meal. "You seemed to like my last meal so I thought I'd give you one you could really appreciate." Her turquoise eyes blinked at me as she stayed there, surprised and speechless. It's like she was wondering why I would do something like that.

Her face then softened as she accepted my gift. "Thank you." She said, taking it like it was the last slice of pizza or something. It made me laugh but I tried keeping my cool. "Really, you didn't have to do that."

I shrugged. "I wanted to."

I gave her one last smile before walking back towards my friends.

Killua, who seemed to have seen the scene gave me a confused look. "What was that about?" I shrugged. "Just a way to thank her."

We all took our dream eggs. Well, all 42 participants were brave enough to jump down the spider web while the others were too scared. *cough* Manbun *cough*

Honestly, good riddance...

Gon quickly cracked his egg and started eating. After all, he had been hungry ever since we got here.

"Oh wow!" He exclaimed. "It's really good!"

I got curious and took a bite out of his giant egg. He was right! This was the best egg I had ever tasted!

I smiled and stuffed mine in my backpack. Leorio furrowed his eyebrows. "Aren't you going to eat it?"

"You can give it to me if you don't want it!" Gon said with his mouth full. I shook my head.

"I'm gonna keep it in case we need extra food."

Kurapika smiled at me. "That sounds like a good plan." He then copied me and put his untouched egg in his bag.

"Alright everyone." The old man in white robe who presented himself as Netero called out.

"May all the participants who passed return into the airship. There will be beds, showers, food and mini gyms to work out."

We all gasped. That's so cool!

"I'll finally be able to take a shower." I said while catching another leaf caught in between two red curls. I showed it to Gon with a sour face while he just pretended not to know what I was talking about.

We returned inside the airship where we were all assigned rooms. Leorio, Kurapika, Killua Gon and I shared a room with two bunk beds.

Great... We're uneven...
