Chapter 39

My forehead creased as Dwight parked his fortuner beside my accord. I already removed my seat belt and left the car "Hindi ka pa ba mag papahinga?" I asked him as we both leaned in my accord's hood

"I forgot to tell you something"

He said as he stood in front of me "Sasabihin ko na kay Chlowie" I stand up straightly when he said that "Are you sure about that? Paano kapag nag panic si Chlowie?" Dwight only smiled at me

Looks like he already made up his mind "Pauwi rin naman siya this Christmas season, I think it's already time for her to know what really happened" He said with his arms folded. I only nodded at him "Tell her to contact me once the two of you finishes talking to each other, okay?" I said as I hugged him

Naka ngiti paring tumango si Dwight.

"Good luck sa presentation niyo bukas. Thank you for going out with me today, Estelle" Dwight said as he slid his hands inside his jacket's pocket "Thank you rin, mag iingat ka. I'm sure Chlowie would understand you"

We already waved our hands to each other as he already went back inside his fortuner. Tuluyan nang bumusina si Dwight at nag drive palayo

It's already 7:30 in the evening and I'm sure Chlowie's awake right now. Mukhang maya maya pa makakatawag sakin si Chlowie kaya naman hinintay ko nalang na maka uwi si Lauren.

I decided to read our presentation as I am waiting for Lauren to arrive.

Hindi naman ako mapakali kaya naman I ended up  turning on our television and looked for some movies at Netflix to watch. I played Ready Player One and I ended up paying attention to it unlike when I was reading our notes.

"Watching at Netflix without me?" para bang may malaking kasalanan akong nagawa nang mag bukas ang pinto ng unit "Naka kain ka na?"

I asked her as she leaned her head to my shoulder "Uhuh, ikaw?" tumango naman ako habang naka tingin parin sa pinapanood namin

Nasa kalagitnaan na kami ng panonood ni Lauren nang napa buntong hininga ako "Hoy ano meron? Grabe ka na naman maka buntong hininga diyan" She asked, pulling me into a tight hug habang idinidiin ang baba niya sa tuktok ng ulo ko "Dwight's gonna tell Chlowie about what happened already" I said and Lauren stopped with her actions

It's only 9:00 in the evening when my phone vibrated

Napa ngiti naman ako nang makitang pangalan ni Jexter ang nasa called id. "Aray!" Sinamaan ko agad ng tingin si Lauren nang itulak niya ako palayo.

Iniwan ko na siya sa living area at pumasok na ako sa kwarto "You guys already done making your presentation?" He asked as I dropped myself at my bed "Yeah, after two days and two nights" buntong hiningang sabi ko

"How's your day? Tinanggap mo na yung offer ng gym sa inyo ni Penelope?" tanong ko sa kanya at rinig ko pa sila Travis mula sa kabilang linya "I already did. You told me that it's okay for you"

Kinuha ko ang singsing na nagsisilbing pendant ng kwintas na galing kay Jexter at tinitigan ito

"By the way, nag kita pala kami ni Dwight kanina" paalala ko sa kanya "Biglaan?" he asked "Yup"

"Tagal na naming hindi nakakapag usap niyan. I'm planning to contact him tonight though" he said and I immediately sit on my bed "I think he's talking to Chlowie right now" Baka masaktuhang magka usap ang mag pinsan tapos eepal tong si Jexter "Don't tell me?"
