"I think water really solves all problem" Lauren said as we were both still awake "How?"

I asked as I took a deep sigh "You want clear skin? Drink water. Weight loss? Drink water. Fucking annoyed because of someone? Boil the damn water then splash it to her face" Letting out a loud laugh after explaining

This woman is really something

"Tara na nga lang mag 7-11, libre ko" Lauren said as she pulled me from my bed "Lakad laang tayo?"

Tanong ko nang makapag suot na ako ng hoodie "Syempre, ang lapit lapit lang g 7-11 dito no" 

Lauren and I left our house with careful 'cause we don't want to disturb Mama's sleep in the middle of midnight.

Cold breeze greeted the two of us as we're already walking out of our street that will lead us to the high way. I miss sneaking out in the middle of the night only to do this kind of thing.

"Hala gaga, we forgot to bring our umbrellas!" Lauren snapped me out of my reverie when she yelled "Baka naman hindi na yan uulan, nakakatamad ng bumalik sa bahay"

I said, placing my hands in my hoodie's front pocket "Bahala na" 

Nag simula na kaming tumaas sa overpass patungo sa kabilang gilid ng kalsada kung nasaan ang 7-11. Lauren and I slightly took a deep breathe as we reached the end of the stairs. "Ang daming nangyayari sa mundo" She suddenly said as we both stopped from walking to watch the few vehicles going to and fro.

"That's why we're all tired" I said in a low voice "I'm tired of everything!" Lauren's voice filled the empty overpass as we already went down the stairs

"Good morning po" the staff greeted us and we smiled back at her

"I want ice cream" Sabi ko kay Lauren bago kami nag hiwalay ng direksyon para kumuha ng kanya kanyang pagkain.

After Lauren paid for all the snacks that we grabbed, we already went towards the empty tables that is facing the glass walls, allowing us to see the moving vehicles at the almost empty high way.

"I don't believe you, L" I said as i was opening the ice cream I took

"Huh?" tanong naman niya nang pinausukan niya ang mukha niya mula sa singaw ng noodles niya "I don't believe that you're already tired of everything."

"Instead, you're only tired of the idea of dealing with the same things over again"

Walang ganang saad ko bago sinimulang kumain ng ice cream. 

The two of us fell into silence, we were both busy taking deep breathes and busy as we were both spacing out while staring into nothing outside these glass walls in front of us

Lauren and I, we're both fighting and struggling only to see a single glimpse of light in the middle of our darkest. We both have our own battles inside our minds that we can barely win from.

"Back then, I always felt so out of place when I'm with my cousins. They are all guys while I'm the only woman. Kapag niyaya ko sila mag hang out, the have always used to decline my invitations. Then kapag sila naman yung may pupuntahan, they don't want me to come because it's an all boys night out."
