Chapter 65
Right after the night when Tito Joven visited us, his heart already gave up.
After hearing the news from Mama, I rushed to the hospital and looked for Jexter. I tried looking for him in his office, at the rooftop and even in his father's room but there were no traces of him.

I tried calling his number for the nth time and when I left the elevator, I suddenly heard a phone ringing nearby. Following the direction of the sound, I end up being at the emergency exit where the flight of stairs are.
He was just standing there, looking blankly at the glass walls "Jexter" I looked at him worriedly as I placed my hand in his right cheek.
Jexter reached for my hand as he placed it in front of his lips before kissing my palm.
"Everyone's looking for you" I said almost a whisper when he wiped my sweat away with his handkerchief "Nag lunch ka na?" He asked after kissing my forehead
Kahit pa nag tataka at nag aalala ay umiling na lamang ako sa kanya. "Let's grab something at the cafeteria"
He already held my hand but before he could take a step I stayed on my place.
Jexter looked at me curiously "Jexter.." I weakly called for him
"Come on, EJ. I'm hungry, we'll head straightly to our house right after." He said with a smile as he removed his coat and stethoscope
I sighed in defeat. This is the best thing I can do for him. Just like what he did when I lost Zach, I will stay beside him no matter what. He was still holding my hands while his coat hangs on his other arm. When we arrived at the cafeteria, he insisted on ordering our meal and left me on our chosen table.
