As we pulled up to the entrance to the amusement park, you could straight away see that the place was already packed with people. The smell of popcorn and hot-dogs filled the air, bringing a slight warmth to me. It had been such a long time since i last came here and it made me so happy to know that i had Nick and Finn here with me.
The amusement park had three huge fields at the entrance for people to park in and the place was so packed already, that we had to park in the furthest field. As we headed towards the main entrance, i started to feel a little dizzy. I wasn't sure what it was but this strange feeling came across me, i didn't want to make Finn worry so i kept it to myself.
As we made our way through the crown, i had to keep a hold of the back of Finns shirt, it was like the whole town had all decided to come to the park on the same night. People were bumping into me from all angles, every now and then someone would hit my ribs, leaving a fire burning on my side. I think Finn could see that i was in pain and struggling to keep up with them because without saying a word, he took my hand in his and led me through the crowd.
When we finally made it to the front entrance, Finn paid for our tickets and we headed into the amusement park. Straight away you could hear the screams of the people on the roller coaster and hear the chimes of the arcade games. We headed for the arcade first, i wasn't big on roller coasters so i persuaded the guys to hit the machines and pool tables first.
The feeling someone was watching me, crept over me like an icy chill. I looked around but i didn't find anyone out of the ordinary or notice anyone staring at me. When we entered the arcade there were people everywhere, i looked around at all the machines and spotted an open pool table at the back of the room. I pointed to the table and led the way over to it, i let the guys play first and sat on a near by table watching as they joked and messed around.
When they finished their game, Nick wondered of to get us some drinks while me and Finn played a game. I wasn't very good but Finn seemed to find it amusing and the whole time he had a huge grin plastered to his face.
Finn took his turn and just like every other time, he potted the ball straight away. I looked over at Nick, who had his arm around some girl who looked to be around the same age but she was wearing so much makeup that it was hard to tell. She looked just like a barbie doll, bleach blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. I turned my attention back to Finn, who was concentrating on the game, he leaned in and took his shot at the black ball, potting it with ease.
"Hey, you OK?" He said looking up at me with worry in his eyes. I hated when he did that to me, his face looked so worried you would think he had known me forever. Yet he hasn't, so why does worry fill those eyes of his. Without thinking i said something i knew i shouldn't have, i had no reason to.
"Why do you even care? I mean come on Finn, I've only known you a little while. You can't possibly care about me that much." I looked at him and something sparked in his eyes, it wasn't anger, it was more like sadness and disappointment. He cared so much about me, no, about finding the chest. Who was i kidding, he was only here to find the chest. It would never be for me. "I need some fresh air."
I turned to walk away from him, he took a step closer to me but i put my hands out to stop him from coming any closer and to let him know i need space. I knew it was a bad idea for me to go off alone but i needed to be alone, i couldn't take his kindness anymore for some strange reason he cared about me. I knew there had to be another reason for his feelings.
I headed towards the main entrance where i knew there would still be crowds of people, so i wouldn't stand out to much. As i made my way through the crowds, i decided to head towards the refreshments tables and stands that lined the bridge along the entrance way to the amusement park. I grabbed a drink from one of the coffee stands and sat down on a nearby bench, i found it relaxing watching all the people as they passed by. Five guys made there way towards me, one of them sat down beside me making the bench creek under his wait. I panicked as they all gathered around me, i didn't know what to do but after a minute i slowly got up and walked of, trying not to draw any unwanted attention to me.
