Y/n's pov

"So Tom do you have a best friend?" A random person in the audience asked.

"I do actually," Tom started. "My best friends name is Y/n."

"Y/n? That's a girl name, is your best friend a girl?"

"Yes, she is, and we are just best friends." Tom said with a little bit of sadness in his voice, not too much for them to hear, but I heard it.

"Is she here?"

"Uhm I don't know, she doesn't really tell me things even though I'm her best friend." Tom said and smirked, he's lying.

He knows exactly where I am.

He shot a glance towards me and I smiled.

"Oh actually I think I know where she is." Tom said slyly.

I kind of sunk down into my chair, but then I crossed my legs to make it look like I was repositioning myself.

"How long have you known her?" They asked.

"Basically my entire life."

"How did you two meet?"

"We were next door neighbours, I went to an all boys school so I didn't meet any girls there. She went to an all girls school so, yeah. Uhm, we met after she moved into her house."

I smiled.

"I asked my mum and dad if we could go say hi, and they said that it was a great idea, we went over to their house and I knocked on the door, Y/n answered and then her mom came to make sure who was exactly.. there, and we welcomed them to the neighbourhood."

"Do you or did you ever have any feelings for her?" They asked.

He laughed.

"Hehehe, Uhm-" He said and his face turned red.

I cocked my head a little bit in confusion.

"Honestly?" He asked and said "I did,-"

My heart stopped.

"Y/n is really beautiful and I looked up to her, she was the exact person who fit all of my standards."

"Actually wait, let me rephrase that, she is the exact person who fits all of my standards."

My face slowly turned red.

I gulped softly.

"She has the most beautiful e/c eyes and this soft h/l h/c hair. She's like 5'4" yeah she's really short and I find that adorable. Her personality is what I fell in love with though, her laugh, the way she blushes when I complement her, I love everything about her."

"I love her, and I always have, every single time when she got a boyfriend that wasn't me, I would be happy for her, but honestly I would be really, really jealous, because she deserves better than a man that doesn't like her personality, but loves her for her body and how beautiful she is."

"One time we were hanging out with each other at Starbucks or something and she looks at me and goes 'I wish I could find a guy like you."

"I go, 'I'm a guy like me', I'm caring, loyal and I love her for who she is!"
