(honestly jeonghan just disappears after the very beginning- i tried to find a way to just not include him at all, but like i needed someone and jeonghan is the closest with the two of them so)

jisoo and seungcheol were each other's competition- so there was no point in trying to befriend each other.

it was that time of the school year.

time to choose the school president.

the thing is, everyone was so sure that choi seungcheol would go unmatched, as he always was. he was the perfect student. all a's, never got into fights, managed to think through every situation, kind to everyone he spoke to. not to mention that he was also the most popular student in the school. known for his incredible leadership skills, and he's the son of the principal. he swayed everyone with his strong and handsome looks- no one dared even talk to him because of how intimidating he was.

he's been the school president for the past three years- since he was a freshman.

but there was a slight change. in the beginning of their junior year, they got a new student. hong jisoo was his name. he'd moved there from la and immediately asked to be on student council. after they checked his previous grades and records, he got in. even with no role in the council, he still acted as well as the president. suddenly, from one perfect student in the school, to having two. only, jisoo was more known for his innocent looks. he looked like he was everyone's best friend- like he couldn't hurt a fly.

neither of them had ever spoken a word to each other, despite having a mutual friend- yoon jeonghan. they never said hello to each other once, and they didn't even wave to each other in the hallways. absolutely no interaction had ever taken place between them.

yet, they both despised each other.

"you don't understand, hannie!" jisoo complained. "he's going to ruin my perfect streak of being school president! and i'm not going to let that happen!"

"but if you win, you'll ruin his streak,"

"do you think i care? it's probably rigged anyways- he's the principal's son! i bet that he doesn't even get those good grades on his own. i bet it's because his dad blackmails the teachers. or maybe-"

"jisoo, i swear to god- shut up," jeonghan really was getting tired of jisoo constantly talking shit about his other best friend. but then again, if he were hanging out with seungcheol, he'd hear the exact same thing.

so it was a lose lose for him.

"hannie, he's seriously just a bitch. like he thinks that i don't see all of his glares in the hallways. why is he so against me? ugh, i wish my dad never let him on the council,"

"he's a good person, seungcheol-"

"good person my ass. seriously- i'm sure that he's not really as nice as he wants everyone to think. ugh, i hate people like that,"

jeonghan didn't even respond to that. he was just done with the two's constant trash talk.

he just wished that the two would start to get along.
