jihan fluff to angst(?) to platonic fluff

jisoo used to hate sunny days.

***

it was a sunny day.

joshua wasn't planning on going out that day- he didn't really care to go outside often. he'd much rather stay inside his small apartment and paint than be outside in the hot sun. it was summer, after all. there wasn't a cloud in the bright blue sky, and joshua much preferred cloudy weather. rain calmed him down for some reason- while the sun just made him restless.

when vernon texted him to go buy groceries, joshua definitely didn't want to comply- but he did anyways. he would've been a sucky roommate if he didn't- and he normally forced vernon to go out and buy it. it was the least he could do while vernon was at work.

so, joshua ran a hand through his messy hair and walked outside in the hot sun. it was burning outside for him, as he was wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt. a bad choice on his part, but he was much too lazy to change out of his comfy clothing just to go shopping for about an hour.

he started walking there, shoving his hands in his pockets and putting the hood over his head. what? he was a depressed art school kid, so it was normal for him.

the senior pulled out his phone, not bothering to look at his surroundings. it was just a straight line to the store, so he didn't really have to look.

that was until there was an unexpected bump in the street.

joshua's phone went out of his hand, flying out a few feet away, as he lost balance. his eyes automatically shut, not wanting to witness himself get hurt. he was ready to feel the cold scratch on his knees and hands as they'd hit the concrete suddenly. he was prepared- and that was why he was shocked that it never came.

"h-huh?" his eyes blinked open, seeing the sidewalk underneath him. that was when he felt arms wrapped around his waist.

he pulled out of the strangers arms, backing away into the nearby grass- accidentally falling down and just sitting there.

"cute."

was all the stranger said. now that joshua wasn't wrapped in his arms, he had time to examine the stranger. it seemed to be a male, with medium length, fluffy hair that was a blonde color. just something that joshua would want to touch and stroke- as weird as that sounded. he was wearing an asymmetrical blue sweater and blue skinny jeans. arms crossed and eyes a little amused. on his hands were blue acrylic nails- which made joshua wonder what kind of obsession this guy had with the color blue.

oh god, his eyes. they were absolutely stunning to joshua. there were so many different emotions mixed into them- and the main ones were almost joy and curiosity. the brown shade was too beautiful for joshua to handle- never seeing eyes that looked that stunning before.

his lips too. they were twisted up in a light smirk, which made joshua's heart go a little faster. the pink lips just looked so soft and... kissable. joshua didn't know what he was thinking as he continued staring at the man in front of him.

"y-yah. why'd you save me? go for my phone instead," joshua spoke, looking at the phone on the ground- he was a little scared to pick it up.

the boy laughed, "my apologies for being a decent person. i'll remember that you'd rather fall over and get multiple cuts than have a small crack on your phone."

"excuse me, but i'm the gentleman- not you,"

he laughed again, "we'll see about that, sweetheart." then he walked over to the phone, picking it up and looking at the damage.
