Anybody can be accepted in the club, BUT you'll have to follow the rules in order to stay in.

Rule #1
You must complete reading and commenting on your partner's chapter within the week (Monday-Monday).
If you don't complete the assignment you'll get a strike.
Two strikes will get you a warning. If you don't respond to the warning, you will be put on suspension.
Strike 3 *cue baseball voice* YOU'RE OUT!

Rule #2
Be kind to your fellow bookworms! No name-calling. No hate speech. No getting mad because of constructive criticism. If a member has been disrespectful, has not abided by club rules, or has not completed the assignment, please notify me so I can remedy the situation.

Rule #3
You must have (at least) three chapters in order to participate.

Rule #4
Most genres are welcome in the club.

If you are planning on applying, you must be okay with reading mature and LGBTQ+ stories.

The following genres and subjects are NOT accepted:
- Poetry (The feedback and questions given in the club are mostly directed toward prose-driven stories. If you write poetry, this might not be the right club for you.)

- Stories revolving around incest or pedophilia will be denied. As well as stories glorifying or romanticizing abuse or harmful behaviors.

I will be checking your story when you submit your application. If you have any doubts about your story falling into these categories, let me know here before you apply.

Rule #5
After submitting your application you will have a trial assignment.
liann_aixa (Me) will hand you a story and a question of the week. You'll have a week to read 3 chapters of said story, provide genuine feedback for each one, and then comment the answer to the given question in the latest club update.

This is essentially what we'll do every week in the pairings. If your critique is genuinely insightful, you will become a BUBC member. If I find you half-assed it, you will be not be accepted.

It's alright if you still don't know how to critique well. You'll learn as you go. Password: any object starting with the letter L. Don't repeat previous answers.
As long as your feedback is thoughtful and honest, you'll be accepted.

Rule #6
Remember to have fun and make new friends! Get to know your partner. You never know if he or she could turn out to be a new wattbud ^-^

If you think you can follow all the rules, then, go ahead and apply below!
