Question of the Week:
What is your opinion of your partner's opening line?
The opening line or paragraph of the story can be considered one of the most important parts of the book. Most readers will not even read a whole chapter before deciding if they want to read on or find another book. After a few paragraphs, they've probably made up their mind.
Sooooo, it is super important for that opening line to be catchy and/or interesting! It is important that it hooks the reader in.
That being said, how was your partner's opening line? Did it hook you in? Or do you think it could use some work? What would you do to make it better, if anything?
