Your POV
You had to come out and face life at some point, whether or not you wanted to was a different story. Unlocking the bathroom door, you tried to complete some simple chores to take your mind off of your misery. You had a feeling the kids were creating a mess in the playroom as per usual that you'd have to clean up later, but right now, you could care less about those two.

Paul was all that was on your mind, no matter what you did to distract yourself from his flawless image.

It was odd. You've told that tale to multiple people and you've never teared up like this, quite the opposite, feeling proud to have known the man.

Now you realize that he's gone, you couldn't help but feel pure sadness instead. Maybe it was due to the two curious children who showed quite the maturity today.

Suddenly, you heard music upstairs, but weren't in the mood to investigate.

Those notes sounded familiar, though. What could it possibly be?

No, it isn't...

But it was.

Paul.

Your grandkids were listening to Paul out of curiosity. Not just any album, it had to be McCartney, with the song playing at the moment being "Man We Was Lonely".

You couldn't stop them, it was their decision, and you didn't have much energy left.

You had an idea, a stupid and risky one, but maybe it would curb the pain...

After all, it seemed like the world wanted it this way.
