Jake's POV
Veronica and I had looked up a modern-day live video of Paul, which did sound alright, but I was stunned that he was at that age and still going strong."I'm just wondering how someone that old can keep a dream like that alive for so long."
"Oh, don't be mean, Jake. You might be right about all of this after all. This is the key to making grandma happy again. I think I can hear her crying from downstairs."
I heard it. It broke my heart.
"You're right...so what are we going to do?"
"We're going to get some tickets for a concert of his...then she can see him again!"
"But look at the price for just one of those, and if we're going too, how are we going to pay for this?"
"We're going to steal our parents' money."
"Ok, let's do it!"
Grandma's crying downstairs stopped. Strange. Hopefully she didn't hear us, and isn't coming for us for taking a tiny chunk out of our parents' bank account to give her the best day of her life. The sound of her footsteps climbing the stairs isn't there, so I assume we're clear.
Anyway, one long payment process later, we jumped for joy and couldn't wait to tell grandma.
