Rae's POV
I took the little notebook I have for notes, into the session. I needed to put my boots on so I got them out the boot bag - but realised I was going to need help. I took them out towards the field, knowing I'd probably find someone to help.
I notice a few of the guys, already out warming up or in small groups passing the ball whilst making chit chat about whatever they'd done the night previous."Can you help me put my boots on please?" I ask Trent, who was stood with Virgil and Ox.
"Yeah of course."He puts my boots on for me, just before Jurgen talks them all in for a big group talk. We faced United this weekend - the big rivals. It was a must win game, not only for pride, but for the league position for us. We also had big games coming up in the champions league, which was also causing the squad massive amounts of pressure.
No matter how much pressure they were under, I honestly think they will still do really, really well.I set out a few drills for the guys to do. I head in to the club to see if I could find a medic.
"Rae, how are you doing?" Sylvie asks. They'd asked her to start working here when I mentioned to them she was struggling. They needed someone to help the medics and this was her new job.
"Hey Sylv. I need some pain relief please." I tell her quietly, knowing the boys had just gone on a break.
"What happened?" She asks, already showing concern.
"I've broke four ribs and cracked two." I replied, sitting on the sofa across from her.
"Well here's what you need. How did it happen?"
"They put my windows and doors through again."
"I'm sorry.. do you need anywhere to stay?" She asks while typing on the computer.
"I'm alright, thank you though." She hugs me carefully before I head out to the break room.I see Trent, Virgil, Ox and of course, my brother all sat together. I sit next to them, watching them play Fifa.
"Rae can I talk to you?" My brother asks. Here we go.
"Yeah we can go to my office." I sit on the edge of my desk he shuts the door and I know instantly all hell is about to break loose.
"What the fuck is going on with you?" He snaps.
"If you're gonna be like that instead of having a normal conversation then it stops here. We have to remain professional here."
"Oh fuck off. You know damn well they don't care."
"It's not about who cares. It's about not wanting to put a strain on training, to remain professional."
"So why are you sneaking round with players and missing training?"
"I'm not sneaking around with anybody. I also don't see what business of yours it is."
"You dont tell me anything anymore."
"Because we don't have that relationship anymore."
"And you wonder why our parents don't speak to you anymore." Ouch, that one stung.
"Cheers Jordan." I reply and leave my office. The break wasn't over another good hour but I couldn't sit with everyone. I went to just sit by the pitch. I'd not been there too long when Virgil sits down next to me.
"You okay?" He asks.
"I will be.. you?"
"We're all kind worried about you. What's up?"
"So I've broken and cracked my ribs. Remember when I told you about the window and door incident at mine? Well it happened again, but this time they attacked me and Marley."
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"We've got some damn tough games coming up and I didn't want anyone distracted. Plus, broken ribs aren't the worst thing to deal with."
"Marley okay?"
"He's fine."
"What happened in your office?"
"He just went off on one.. I tried to get him to realise we can't argue at work but he just carried on. It's hard to get through to him when he's like that. He told me that it's no wonder my parents don't speak to me anymore." I replied, voice wobbling.
"I can't believe him. I'm gonna-"
"No. Leave it, it's not worth it."
"Do you need anywhere to stay whilst your house gets sorted? There's always a room at mine."
"Thank you. But I've been staying with Trent."
"The two new Liverpool starlet lovers."
"You're an arse." I replied, laughing.____________
We got back that evening and I sat on the sofa and Marley has bough practically every toy he had to me. I was trying to fake it but he just knew.
My phone starts to ring, waking all three of us from a nap."Hey Sylvie." I say, sitting up gently.
"Hi love." She sounds genuinely happy and I couldn't be more pleased she was doing so much better.
"How are you doing?" I ask her.
"I'm good thank you. I was calling to check up on you and that new boy of yours. To also see if you both wanted to come for your tea tomorrow." She adds.
"I'm alright Sylv, really. We'll be there. Do you want anything bringing?"
"Just yourselves and Marley."
"Okay Sylv. Normal time?"
"Normal time Raelynn."I sighed and leaned back on the sofa. Marley moved his toy on my lap and I started to play his favourite game with him.
"You're not alright, spill." Trent tells me and sits across from me. So I explained everything that had happened at training. "He's disgusting."
"It just makes me sad.. I've only know Sylvie for like two years and she feels more of a mum to me than my own, biological mum. My parents didn't even send a congratulatory message or well done when I got the job at Liverpool. I don't exist to them."
"Thats so rough."
"I just don't know what to do anymore."
