The paramedics took Charlie. He was going to the hospital, and it was Kole's fault. If only he had listened to his friend maybe he would have realised that he was being swooped in by the legacy his father had created, Kole never wanted this, not the gang, no leadership of it, not the weapons and not even the drugs, but his father had built the biggest drug distribution in decades and he would never let Kole lose it, he'd kill him before that could happen. Kole had almost ruined it before rehab, and now it was happening all over again... except this time, he wasn't on any actual drug, he was in love.As the ambulance drove away, the Delmarno family stood outside, watching it. They said nothing as they entered the house, in fact, nobody spoke for an hour, they all just sat in the kitchen, staring into the air.
Unexpectedly, Luiz spoke up. "I want to know." he demanded. Everyone turned their attention to him; Angela, Kelly, Molly and Kole. He was obviously addressing Kole. "What father?" he muttered. "Dont 'what' me boy. You know exactly." he bellowed. "It was a silly fight father..." Kole pleaded. "Nonsense! Your right hand man? Your best friend? Its disgraceful!" he sneered. "Luiz, stop." Begged Angela. Luiz stood now, leaning over the table, peering at his son in disgust. "You. You were meant to be better! and you prance in here with your clueless girl, embarrasing me in front of MY MEN!" he scourned. "Don't." snapped Kole. Luiz started walking around to him. "You ask for my assistance, and then you bark to my people about being a leader? Some fucking leader!" he exclaimed. "Your the one that made me the leader." Kole yelped. "Because you promised to fix your mess! but as usual your just a mingy little addict. I bet your back on it aren't you?" growled Luiz. "No father." begged Kole. "Luiz, now stop it!" barked Angela. "Our son is a disgrace!" he snapped at her. "And we have a guest, my love." she added calmly.
He stopped then, turning to Molly. He straightened himself up. "Nice to meet you, Molly." he spoke, then he walked out of the kitchen , slamming the door behind him. "I think it best if you leave." Angela grunted at Kole. Kole nodded. "Come on, Molly." he smiled. "Actusally, son, i want a word with her, you may wait outside." scowled Angela. Kole listened, he stood, hugged his sister, Kelly, and went to stand outside the kitchen door. "I meant outside of my house." she scourned. Still obedient, Kole went outside, the front door slamming shut behind him. Marve was waiting out there in the limo, had been all this while.
"Kelly, go to your room." ordered Angela. Kelly rolled her eyes, yet listened. Angela waited a couple of minutes before she spoke, hoping it would mean Kelly was gone. "Dear, you have seen alot today, i think it wise if you stay with Kole, i'm going to give him a call later, he will explain it to you after." she grinned. "Can't you tell me now?" questioned Molly. "I apologise for my husband's actions, since Kole was released he has been very unsettled, Luiz sent him there hoping Kole would handle his demons, although i believe he hasn't even recognised them. He thinks that he is fine, don't push him on this subject please, if he is too much for you... simply leave." she proposed. "Okay." agreed Molly, unsure really of what it all meant. "Good day, dear, i hope my later call can bring you some peace." she smiled, then she turned away from Molly as if commanding her to leave.
Kole was waiting outside when Molly got out, he was stood leaning on the limo. As she approached he opened the door to let her in, then clambered in after her. "How was she?" he asked. "Alot." Molly sighed.
They drove back to Kole's apartment in silence, each seperating when inside, Molly off to bed, Kole onto the couch. Neither slept, just lay there, in thought. Their day had been long, it was late now, and after the whole day they'd been through... they were in the exact same position as last night, except Molly now knew all of Kole's dirty secrets. Less than 24 hours ago, she had known him as just another guy that likes to get drunk, kind-hearted and slightly cocky, she now knew him as a violent, slightly immature 'gang leader'. What a change. Was there even any nice in him? I mean look what he'd done to Charlie. She thought about that all night... Charlie's face. Was it as bad as it looked? How were the doctors handling it? How do you even fix a face?
The next thing she knew, she was in hospital, in a corridor. The nurses and doctors flooding past her into a room, she ran with them and as she got into the room, she seen Charlie. He was lay in the hospital bed, on a ventilator with no face. She watched as the doctors desperately tried to stitch his face back together. "NO!" she sobbed, tears streaking down her face. One of the nurses clasped onto her, he was shaking her. shaking and shaking. "Molly" he yelled. Then she opened her eyes.
"Molly!" screamed Kole, frantically shaking her. She was still in his room, in his bed. Realising it was just a dream, she pulled into Kole, hugging him. He climbed into bed next to her and cuddled up to her as she cried. He didn't want to push her, it was obviously a bad dream and she needed him by her so that's where he would be. She explained her dream to him and he said nothing, understanding that he had cause this... all of it, if he'd have just left her alone that whole day wouldn't have happened... and he still hadn't found a solution to her Max problem, that made his blood boil. He'd done nothing for her and in realising this he gained a new mindset. Molly. She was it all. Everything. And now he knew that he had to fix him and Charlie, get his right hand man back, assert his authority with his people and do what he had promised at last. Do what he had promised to his father... and to Molly.
They both fell asleep together that night, Molly forgetting about the call from Angela and unaware that Kole had already taken that call. Hours later, Molly woke up, Kole still fast asleep next to her, she decided she would do the cooking that morning. She excitedly sprinted to the kitchen, shuffling through the cupboards taking everything out and starting the breakfast. She decided on an English breakfast, but instead of just a meal on a plate she set it out as a whole buffet, searched through her phone to find a dessert delivery place that wouldn't take long, she ordered Churros with a chocolate dip and waffles with bananas. Fifteen minutes late, her odrder arrived and she set everything out on the coffee table. "KOLE!" she yelled. No answer. "KOLE!" she yelled again. She flung open the door to the bedroom, waking Kole up, at last. "KOLE!" she yelled. "Okay I heard you." scowled Kole, he'd only heard her shout him that last time, lost in his sleep. He looked forward to see here clapping her hands cheerfully. "What?" he asked, noticing her excitement. Molly beckoned him with her hand, then returned to the living room to stand by the coffee table. Reluctantly, Kole followed, surprised by the layout of food in front of him. "Well this is cute." he laughed. "Cute? that's it." grumbled Molly. He sad down on the couch and picked up a churro, dipped it and tasted. "You ordered this." he teased. "Okay, so I ordered the waffles and the churros BUT everything else is homemade!" she exclaimed. "I like it really, I was just teasing, love." he explained. Molly watched as he started eating, pleased that she had done so well. "You gonna eat or just watch me do it?" he asked, letting out a cocky little chuckle. "Shut up! I was being proud." she laughed. "being proud huh? that a real sentence?" he blurted. "Yes!" she yelled. Of course, she wasn't really sure, grammar wasn't her thing but Kole was being cocky and she hated that.
They ate their breakfast together, watching some stand-up comic on the tv and dropping crumbs of food almost every time they laughed.
