𝙈𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩
The doctors quickly stabilised Kole. He was okay, he'd just gotten a bit too high. He'd been in the hospital for days. Luiz was outraged, he'd arranged for Kole to go to Ragley Rehabilitation Centre the minute he could leave.
Kole didn't get an option in that. I was too afraid to say goodbye, not of him, but of what he'd say. This whole thing felt like it was my fault. If i'd have just kept my paws of Charlie.
If i'd have just left him alone, I wouldn't have almost killed him. So I made another decision, even though my previous decisions hadn't made anybody benefit, this one would. I was going to find our what Kole meant when he said Max was gone.
And when I finally figured it out that's when I was going to go see him and I was going to fix us and I would have him back! I was determined.
I started my mission, naturally, by asking Kelly and Angela. I thought that seen as we had gotten closer during Kole's mental breakdown and disappearance that they would help me if they knew.
"I know Kole was after him." Kelly informed. So that was something. "Anything I know won't help, love." Smiled Angela, which obviously meant she knew something but was refusing to tell me. That was irritating, but at least I had my first lead on it. I would go with that.
So Kole was after Max, what for I could already guess but what I needed to know is how far did he get.
I decided to follow Kole's drug trail, whoever he'd been doing his daily dose with must've known something, high guys talk right? But that'd mean I needed his phone. It was time to steal from the hospital.
At 6:30pm i went in. Visisting hours ha skits began and Luiz would arrive by 6:40 so I was on a tight schedule. But Kole was mostly asleep so hopefully he was again. I stroke lucky, he was asleep.
He looked stunning lay there, it's weird to think I know but he looked so precious. They'd pumped him with nutrients and the sleep he'd been having the bags that had collected underneath his eyes had smoothened out. He looked like Kole again, he looked like the man I loved.
But loving him wasn't what I was there for, and I needed to get back on track. I pulled the drawer next to him silently open and retrieved his phone. I still remembered his password, if he hadn't changed it.
Hesitantly, I opened up the phone and went into call logs, last person he called was labelled 'Rano'. I checked the text messages and 'Rano' was the last message sent. The message read: it's in the kitchen dawg.
Any previous messages had been deleted, but I was certain that this 'Rano' would know more. After all, the date of the message was the same date as the day I had found him in that hotel room.
I thought to myself, you only delete messages if you hiding something. So what was my man hiding? I was soon to find out. Whatever he had been covering up would be revealed.
I still wasn't sure why I was so desperate to know, but the reason I had strayed from Kole so easily was that he always appeared to be hiding something. No more secrets means no more lies and no more lies means a happy future for us.
I added the number into my phone so as to call it when I left, if I stayed too long he'd wake.
Gently, I kissed his forehead and took off. I couldn't risk him seeing me. As I got out, I called the number. "Yo who's this." Grunted a manly voice.
"Erm Molly Vandel, do you know Kole?" I stuttered. "Molly? Oh shit! It's the girl that broke my boy's heart." He Chuckled. "So... you know Kole?" I uttered, broken hearts wasn't clear enough I wasn't sure if I'd broke just Kole's heart or Charlie's too.
"Course I know him." The voice laughed. "So who are you?" I asked. "Normally I wouldn't tell ya this, but seen as you're my mans girl. I'm Tyrano."
"So Tyrano, where are you? We need to talk." I ordered. "I think we do. I'll text you the addy." Replied Tyrano. Addy was slang for Address, I knew that but I thought it was sloppy for him to speak like that... I guess that's how some people talk.
As promised, I got the address minutes later and set off on my journey. What I saw was a surprise, there sat the man that had been following me. "I know you!" I cried.
"Ya damn right you do. Kole had me follow you." He smirked, taking a puff of whatever he was smoking. His eyes were pretty red so he was obviously out of it. "Why?" I asked.
"Because he didn't need you being suspicious." Laughed Tyrano. "Suspicious of what?" I questioned. "What he was doing." He grinned
"And what was that?" I scowled. "Killing a man." Sighed Tyrano. I laughed for a minute, thinking he was teasing me and then I seen how serious he was. My boyfriend had killed someone, something people had always told me but I never believed.
I thought that Kole had a sweet nature, that he was just bitter because of the life he lives but now I knew he was a cold-blooded killer. But what's worse... I still loved him.
"Who did he Kill?" I asked, even though I knew the answer in my head. I mean it was obvious. Every clue pointed in that direction. 'Max is gone' 'Kole was after Max.' Every clue. And then the final sentence... 'killing a man."
It dawned on me so quickly. It hit me like a boulder. My stomach clenched and I didn't know if I was supposed to be greatful, but I felt sick. Very sick. My boyfriend killed the guy that wanted to kill me.
Kole killed Max.
