A Delmarno's Lover

20. 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙊𝙣𝙚

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩

This new triangle with Kole and Molly was stressing me, i never realised how deep those things were. I was constantly sat wondering: Is it me, is it him, is it me is it him. Is it him? is it me? That was all i'd thought of when Kole drove off.

He left me at his father's warehouse, i had to wait for the clean up people to arrive and get a lift with them, the stench of blood in that man's car was unreal.

I couldn't remember his name, luckily he knew i was Kole's right hand mean, which luckily came with some priviledges despite all its disadvantages, so he had to take my orders and just give me a ride anyway.

I hardly got any sleep all night, Kole's blood-drenched face haunting my mind and the thought of Molly, or more so Molly's lips, keeping me awake. I don't know if I loved her, or it was just lust but if I got the big thing over with, problem solved!

That was my mindset. Not like it would hurt Kole if he never found out right? So I text her. Let her know I wanted to meet at 3:00pm. I didn't exactly know where, I mean where in our city is safe from Delmarno eyes? Nowhere.

Except my place... then again, maybe not, Kole could turn up at any moment and if he ordered me to open the door and I didn't do so he'd get angry. Great best friend right?

And how great was it that we'd gotten ourselves into some silly competition over a girl? But god was she a trophy. And damn I'd love to show her off. Kole may have officially had her... but I was winning this competition and then my name would be worth way more than any Delmarno.

I loved Kole but he always thought he was some king. As if his last name meant something. He acted as if he was born into that rich life. His father built their companies when their whole family was broke, with drug money nonetheless.

But Gomez would be an important name too. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to take Kole's place. I just wanted to finally be an equal and Molly was part of that. Gomez And oo Delmarno. I could it it. It was possible, but asking Kole would mean he made me and I'd burn before that could happen.

I dressed myself and headed to The Hound. Like my usual Thursday, I got drunk with the lads by 2:00pm. To my suprise, Kole walked through the door at 2:25pm and my heart raced. "Aye, my boy!" Greeted Tyrano, pulling Kole into a man hug.

The rest of the lads hustled over to greet him, this was the first time they'd seen him since he returned from holiday and were they pleased! Awkwardly, I said nothing.

"What, so I don't get greeted by my 'best friend' nowadays?" Taunted Kole. I prayed he hadn't seen me message Molly. He'd have my head in seconds.

"Of course you do!" I laughed, fake as a Barrie doll. I pulled him in for a hug, letting go quicker than the others had. "Ah." He grunted, unimpressed by my acting.

After a few minutes of us all drinking together, almost like old times, my phone pinged. I walked away from the lads surrounding the pool table and sat by the bar to read this message:

Okay, I'll meet you. Where? X

I almost jumped out of my seat with excitement, Olivia, of course, noticed this and came over to me. "New girl?" She hissed jealously.

"Plenty since you darlin' don't you worry." I scowled. "With your game I doubt it, they'll soon learn you're just controlled by the Delmarno's." She Snapped.

"And men quickly learn that you're bitter." I fumed. She had no right. Talk about a jealous ex. In time to save me from liv's bitterness, Kelly appeared from the back.

"Your relationship was boring, and both of you crave each other's best friend. I get it already. Liv get back to work." Kelly Snapped jokingly, yet I could see her seriousness in it too, so did Olivia as she slithered back to whatever hole she came from.

Kelly came down on me then. "I know you're after Molly, I'm warning you Charlie, leave that one to Kole." She accused. "Why should I?" I cooed. "Because my brother will decapitate you if you take her." She warned. "Then May I rest in peace." I joked.

"Char, please babe." She begged. "I know you listen to every word that drops from his lips, kell, but I don't." I bossed.

"Do you love her?" Cried Kelly. "No!" I replied instantly. "Then don't take her from someone who does!" She sobbed. I said no more, I just left her. I missed her... with my whole heart. But I had to meet Molly.

So without another thought of my past love, I snuck out. Skipping away to meet my new love... or lust. We'll soon see.
