As I lay in that hospital bed all I could feel was shame. I'd been dried out the past few days and my real self was starting to kick back in, I was missing the buzz, sure, but I went into this heartbroken and without that daily pill... it sounds weird but, I was back to being damaged.
I woke up to the feeling of Molly's lips, but when I opened my eyes she wasn't there and I was alone. I could hear the nurses rustling around outside, I hated hospitals.
Most people end their life their right? I was pretty definite mine would end there too. Gun shot wound, stabbing, overdose or anything but with the life I live... I will die in a hospital.
Or shot down on a sidewalk. That's my fate and I'd gotten used to that yet around Molly I felt like I still had that chance at a normal life. Charlie taking here had deleted that thought.
Lay there in that hospital, I had to think about that. Molly had grew up in a very different lifestyle to me, if she found out I'd killed people I'd lose her for good. That was the one up Charlie had, no blood was on his hands. That was just me.
Just as I was starting to settle into my loneliness, in walked my father. "Morning son." He grunted. "Father." I greeted. He handed me a bag, inside i found two sausage rolls and a small cupcake. "Ma make these?" I asked. "Of course." He replied.
I could sense he was mad at me, but for whatever reason he was being really understanding. I knew I'd have to go back to Ragley, father wouldn't stand for anything else. I'd kind of just accepted it now, it was going to be hell of course but I've managed eight months before, couldn't get any worse.
"I haven't found him yet son." Father informed me. "Where do you think he is?" I asked. "Not a clue." Father sighed. I'd asked him to order the men to find Charlie on my third day in the hospital, he'd been looking the past four constantly and none of our men had found anything.
I needed my best friend. I knew that the only reason he ever really wanted Molly was because I stopped him from loving Kelly. I told her she was not to date him, practically bullied them both. They both agreed to my terms, I could see they were both heartbroken.
I did do it for good reasoning. Kind of. Okay part of me was jealous, and scared that I'd lose them but I also did it because I want my sister to leave this life. I want her to go on. Charlie has his own family drama that ties him into this but with me taking over Kelly could have a great life, and it worked didn't it?
From what father had told me she was working hard, even bought her own restaurant. That's what I waned for her, a life where her biggest problem was real estate. I'd deal with this burden, not her.
All of a sudden, in walked a ghost. My heart started pounding. She was looking at me. She knew. I knew she knew.

𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩I could see him. The devil. Or my angel? I'm unsure. He'd killed people that was clear, but he'd saved my life. So where really is the line between right and wrong? Good or evil? Max's gang has the police corrupted, that's why Kole wouldn't let me go to them. That's why he asked for his dad's help.
Tyrano explained it all and after that I fled to Kole, thinking for the first ten minutes that I was gonna slap him, the next ten that I was going to hug him, yet on arrival I didn't have a clue.
He was looking at me, dead in the face, joe hair combed back, making it look darker and his blue eyes as bright as they had been the day I met him.
"Babe." I sobbed. "Come here." He sniffed, I charged at his bed and he sat up and twisted towards me. I thrust my arms around him and I knew. He was a good man and I loved him.
Luiz was sat in the corner, just watching us and smiling. "You don't have to go son." He muttered, Kole switched his attention to him. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"I mean, that I understand your spiral. And your love for this girl. I'm not sending you away again, it does no better. But you will stay in our house." He Demanded. Kole nodded.
I could feel he was overwhelmed but so was I, we'd gotten past this barrier and we were finally going to go home together. All that was missing was our friends.
Olivia was obviously very fake and losing her was more of a blessing, Kelly we still had, so all that was truly missing was... Charlie.
Both of us had lost or best friends for each other's love, best friends that we had had our whole lives and all for each other. Liv was not a nice person but Charlie... Charlie didn't do anything wrong. I think I knew that really.
Instead of trying to fix our little problems, we thrived in our new happiness. I could take Kole home and that was all that mattered for now.
A few hours later, we were settled in at Luiz and Angela's house. That's where we were living until everyone was one hundred percent certain that Kole was clean and sober.
Someone would need to keep their eyes on him at all times. At around 7:35pm we sat down for tea. Angela has left our meal later than usual so Kole could settle in with me first. He moved into the room I'd been staying in.
Gerard was happy to have him home and had even baked for us both. He'd been home during his state, but he'd never REALLY been home, nobody saw him.
As I tucked into my steak I heard a clash. "Who's fork was that?" Joked Kole causing the whole family to giggle a little, because that's what it sounded like. Soon enough, we heard the kitchen door open.
Luiz sprung up point his gun at the door. In walked my favourite prick. "So... who missed me?" Charlie.
We were all silent, Luiz still had his gun pointing directly at Charlie's face, if he'd pulled the trigger I imagine it'd have gone right through his nose.
Angela was the first one to speak, "Luiz, please! No guns at the table." She taunted. She was the only one that didn't look surprised by Charlie's reappearance.
That's when I noticed she'd set and extra place at the table, right next to Kelly, opposite Kole. "Mother invited me for a meal." Giggled Charlie, taking his seat. Luiz's gun was still pointing directly at him.
