There I was, staring at his unfathomable eyes in a moment of silence. Ang likod ko'y nakasandal pa rin sa kaniyang sasakayan while his both hands were leaning on to it, caging me in between.

I even can smell his manly perfume which is making me a bit dizzy. Haven't drank too much alcohol this night but Carrick's presence's making me drunk.

My fingers didn't stop shaking for I don't know anymore how to escape his deadly glares that were full of curiosity. It was dark and deep at the same time reaching the depths of my soul.

Napalunok ako. "Ang alin?" patay malisya kong tanong.

Umigting ang kaniyang panga bago nagsalita, "You intrigued me. How'd you know Geoff? He's not from here. Who are you?"

"I told you. He's friends with my brother, sir."

"And your brother is who?" He raised his brows at me.

Holy shit!

Humalukipkip ako sabay tulak sa kaniyang dibdib. Napaatras siya at doon na ako tuluyang nakawala. I stand in front of him acting like there was no problem at all.

I smirked while he wore the same emotions and his hands are inside his pockets.

"Am I oblige to tell everything? Even my personal life? I don't think so, Alaric!" walang preno kong sambit.

Laglag ang kaniyang panga. May bahid na gulat sa kaniyang mata. Hindi ko naman alam kung bakit biglang nag-iba ang kaniyang ekspresyon.

Kinabahan ako nang humakbang siya palapit sa 'kin—napakurap-kurap ako matapos mag-iwas ng tingin. My eyes widened in shock when he held onto my shoulders. His touch were quite sending message to my whole system. It's... burning.

I saw how his lips tugged upwards. Did he smile?

"What did you just call me?"

I gulped. "I forgot to address you as my boss, I'm sorry, sir." Na-estatwa ako sa kinatatayuan. Mag-uugat na nga yata ako rito.

Kumunot ang noo niya sa 'kin. "It's not about that. Ayos ako sa kung ano ang gusto mong itawag sa 'kin. But your accent."

My jaw dropped.

Mas lalo akong nanlamig. I even felt my lips quivered a bit. Humakbang siya palapit pang lalo at ako'y tuluyang napaatras. His eyes captured my orbs but I can't stand looking at him that was why I ignored his gazes.

I looked like a guilty little kitten. Napapikit ako nang naramdaman ang malamyos niyang hininga sa bandang leeg ko. Naghuhuramentado ang aking puso.

"W-What are you doing?" I snapped.

I gasped when his thumb caressed my chin. Waves of electricity sent shivers down to my spine. Hinuli niya ang aking tingin at doon muli kong nakasalubong ang kaniyang mga matang puno ng pagsusumamo.

Wild creatures invaded my stomach. Why it was torture! Dumako ang tingin ko sa kaniyang mga labi and I saw passion of desires in his eyes.

Carrick, why are you making things hard for me? Ang daming babaeng nali-link sa 'yo. Yet, here I am, hoping that someday you'll notice me. I know you did. But what I mean is, hoping that you will look at me the way I look at you. You are the man of my dreams and will always be.

I saw how his adam's apple moved. But my world crushed the moment I heard the words released by his pretty mouth.

"No matter how many times I deny, your accent reminds me of her. This is damn crazy. I should go," he said.

Napasinghap ako at pinuno ang baga ng hangin noong binitawan niya ako. Sinulyapan pa niya ako bago siya umatras. Pumasok siya sa sasakyan at pinaharurot iyon paalis ng lugar.
