"You don't need to deliver anything to him," Sajaír said, looking to Nicholas who was leaning against the door. Things had been so much different. 6 months had gone by and he felt pain in each and every one of those months on the 28th. How could something like that have slipped his mind? It tackled him everyday mentally, slowing down his process on healing. Sajaír should've kept up with the hints, the behavior of his father - the way the warehouse was moving, the hitmen going out on "vacation" - it was all a set up to eliminate the problem that he caused. He went and fell in love, that was his problem.
Nicholas shook his head to Sajaír, who had bothered to up and move to California in support of Le'Maya. The memorial, the ballon release, all of the events that he could alongside her friends. It took them 3 months to even want to be in his face, but it wasn't hard at all to put two and two together. He explained the assumption of the situation that he could and vowed to protect them as much as he could. Nicholas was here to visit his older brother who had a bottle of whiskey in his hand. What could he do? It was better than anything else his brother had done in his past. "Sajaír, Dad is leaving out of town soon overseas with Charlene. I didn't come to interrupt your protest, I came to let you know we have much more leverage than you think. People are in your favor, we just need to plan things smooth."
Sajaír chuckled at the false hope, shit, at the simple idea that overthrowing his father's company was even possible. All this for the one that he loved. He downed the glass of liquor in a shot-like fashion before his phone began to ring. No other than Blaire Woods herself. He answered the phone, pouring himself a glass of whiskey before he spoke into it. "I've told your ass time after time. Leave me the fuck alone. Pawn the ring, shove it up your ass or throw it off the bridge with yourself. We have nothing Blaire," He said before hanging up and throwing his phone across the room. Disgusted with her was the understatement. Nicholas chuckled before grabbing the bag he packed and stayed the night with, checking his watch. "I'm going to visit Jasmyn in the hospital since we both, you know, suffered from a lost." Nicholas said.
Sajaír turned towards his brother, feeling immediate sorrow for him. The baby that Jasmyn was carrying didn't make it through. He watched his brother promise time after time that he would try again for another, but the chances of her having a baby after suffering from bullet wounds in severe areas near the uterus were slim. "Give me ten minutes and I'm tagging along." Sajaír said, tossing the robe off before he stalked off to his room to change."Hey baby! Ooh, is that Mexican food?" Jasmyn asked, sitting up in the chair. They were currently in the reception area- her, Cree and Amirah. Nicholas nodded his head, placing the two big bags down with a smile on his face. Sajaír greeted them with hugs and kisses before he made his way back. The receptionist had taking a liking to the fine ass piece of chocolate that had been here for the last six months. "Hey, Mrs. Johnson." He said as he walked by. He didn't want to waste anytime, gripping the flowers in his hand. 224, he repeated in his mind. He opened the hospital door, the room smelling of different variety flowers. It had been February 28th, a smile on Sajaír's face as he looked around at the bouquet covered room. A watered bouquet for each month he had visited - all six. Le'Maya rested in her bed, a white bandage wrapped around her forehead. She looked so beautiful.
"Babygirl," He said, pulling up a chair. He cupped her hand, which felt a bit warmer than usual. He fixed her comforters after praying to God before he sat back down and opened a book, one of the many that Maya enjoyed. He read the next two chapters, like he had always done, before sitting and eating his lunch with her. He talked about his grudge against his father, his anger and more. "I miss your witty comments." He said before he found himself getting a bit emotional. He was ashamed, to be honest. He was upset that he had let himself be swayed under the influence of his father.Just make the Woods think you're all theirs under any means. Once the contract deal is signed, you're free to live whatever live you chose.
Some promised, he thought about his father's condition. After their blowup at the dinner, things had taken a turn for the worst. His father favored the Woods due to their submissive behavior, but he couldn't stand Maya and Jasmyn. They were too powerful, too dominant and didn't know their roles as women. "I love you, no matter what hardships I'm going through. My dad is going overseas and if you were here, I'd show you just how much. There's no more false marriage, no more. I won't sacrifice our jewel of love just for the approval of my father. I just wish you could say you loved me too, I know you do." Sajaír said before resting his arm on her chest. He loved to hear her heartbeat, just to know that she was alive. He often fell asleep like this. His eyes began to grow tired, his grip loosening on her hand. He dozed off, growing comfortable on the love of his life. There was so much happiness that he felt, so much peace from just being around her. He just needed her to wake so they could start over. That was all he wished for on Christmas.
"I love you too."
