Four bottles of orange juice, ten bottles of water and fifteen pregnancy tests later — Maya was still pregnant. Sajaír paced around the room, speaking to Anika in a hushed yet urgent tone. "Handle all of the meetings for the next two weeks, if anyone asks, I'm overseas," He said, speaking off into the phone at a fast tone before eventually ending the call.
Maya, who had been on the bathtub with the tests laid out, rubbed at her temples. "Was all that necessary?" She asked, Sajaír stopping in front of the door before looking to her. His baby was having a baby. No words came out, just a look of concern and worry at his features. "If I had known that telling you was going to result in this, I would've went to my appointment a month ago." Maya said, brushing past him before she went to sit at the bed. She felt like crying, his reaction wasn't horrible but it wasn't good either. "I mean, isn't this what you wanted?" She asked through sloppy tears.
Sajaír came to comfort her, trying to process — An appointment? "Maya, it's not about you. It's about me. I've upped the security by four in this house, I'm considering moving out of here period. To keep little bean safe and to keep you safe, of course." He said, rubbing at the little pudge one her belly. "And what appointment?" He asked, pulling from her.
"I found out I was pregnant three weeks before Emily's birthday party," Maya said, wiping her tears. It had to be her hormones because being near him and cuddling him, she felt like the happiest girl in the world. "I scheduled an appointment shortly after that. You're the only one in the house who knows," Maya said, frowning. She knew it was wrong to keep it from her best friend, but hell, she barely saw her these days. "I must've took the plan B during ovulation or something," Maya said, shaking her head. She had come to terms that she was very well and pregnant. She lacked on taking her prenatal vitamins, but now that the cat was out of the bag. . .
"I would never be upset at you for carrying my child, Le'Maya," Sajaír said, taking her face in his hands. He smiled, eyes watering with a smile at his lips. "You have no idea how blessed I am, but I'm moving us out of here immediately." He said with a stern voice and a face to match it. Maya stood and followed him as he prepares to make some very important phone calls to do so.
"Wait a damn minute," Maya said, grabbing his arm before she tilted her head. "I've never lived without Jasmyn and let alone, far as hell away from her. I want to stay here." She said and it was the truth. Since a young age, they'd either be houses down from each other or making pallets at the bed because Maya's mother was out handling her modeling gigs.
"It's time to grow up, Maya. It's not about what we want, we need to think about the bean," He said, kissing her hands before walking off to his office. She could hear that down the stairs, his phone had started to ring.

"Alright, let's cut it there," Jasmyn said, removing the headphones off of her head with a smile at her face. It had been a few days since Mother's Day and since she got her back blown, but one thing she was happy about was seeing her best friend. "Thank you for coming down to the stu," Jasmyn said, embracing Maya with a smile at her features.
Maya leaned down to grab the hot coffee off of the seats, handing one to her best friend. "You need to not do these 6 am gigs anymore, the bags are showing and they're giving Walmart, not Prada." Maya said, sipping her large bottle of water. Jasmyn raised an eyebrow.
"You know that the listening party is in a few days and I need to be on 100%. Fixing up vocals that need to be fixed, bridges, hooks.." Jasmyn continued on, Maya rolling her eyes as they went to her Mercedes-Benz SUV.
"I'm pregnant," Maya said, sipping her water calmly afterwards. Jasmyn dropped the hot coffee onto the garage pavement, eyes widening before she blinked. And she blinked a lot.
