The next morning, Maya woke up extra early to make sure that her sister was still sleeping in the guest room that was supposed to be an office. Lucky for Sajaír's interior designer, the office had a closet where the bed came out like old times. Maya peeked into the door, noticing that her sister was sound asleep at the bed. She pushed the door open, placing the clothes that she had in her hands on the empty office desk. Her phone was on a spare charger and she had several notifications that came to her phone. It was an iPhone X, but it was unlocked. Had her sister not been up to date on having passwords to that people didn't go through her shit?
It seemed brand new and it had a basic lock screen as well. It was new, but instead of going through the messages she due to unlocking them, she just viewed from.
KK 💕: Girl, where the hell is you at?
KK 💕: If I find out you're with the boy, it's grounded. No dance team either.
KK 💕: Le'Lani Kea Wright. This medicine is kicking in and I'm heading to bed. If you're with Jaden, just be safe, okay?Who the hell was Jaden? "Why are you going through my phone?" A voice came from behind Maya, causing her to jump and drop the phone on the wood floor. The case protected it from the fall and she leaned down, handing it to her.
"You don't get to ask me questions, plus, it was going off like crazy," Maya said, handing it to her. Lani looked at it for a few seconds before she typed a few words and looked up to her older sister. "Um, here are some spare clothes and two towels. Wash your ass or something," Maya said, preparing to leave the room.
"From the pictures that Auntie Kamari shows me, you look exactly like Mom," Lani said, causing her to turn around. She had no idea how to feel or better yet, how to react. Maya let a genuine smile form before she nodded her head. "Do I?" Maya asked, taking a seat at the bed. Her feet were swollen and this bed, as old fashioned, was comfortable as hell.
Lani took a seat, showing her an old picture that she took herself from her Auntie's collection. Maya looked at it a bit harder, because she had never seen this picture. Her mother was vibrant and smiling, a cheer uniform. "You got this from your aunt?"
"Our aunt and yes, I did. They cheered in high school," Lani said, scrolling through more pictures that she had found in their aunt's collection. Maya chuckled, staring deeper into the phone. Her mother and her aunt looked alike - so much alike, at that.
Maya and Lani didn't know that Sajaír was peeking in from the door, watching the sisters interact. It was a beautiful thing to see, but the secrets were overfilling it with paranoia. He pushed the door open, hands folded over his pecks.
For Lani, this was the finest man that she had seen. Even finer than the crush that she had at her high school 45 minutes ago. Maya nudged her from standing, going to exit the room with Sajaír. "Come on, breakfast is ready, Lani." She said, smiling.

"Ain't this about a bitch," Reign said, pulling his sunglasses down and looking to Lani. He had taken the two hour drive plus some traffic to witness this in person. And he would be damned. He was a bit upset at Maya for not calling him directly last night, but was he going to get on the road at midnight? Probably not, to be honest. "You're a spitting image. You have my jaw," He said, stepping closer to her.
Lani looked to him, now dressed in the clothes that Maya had given her earlier this morning. It was a look and it seemed the two sisters had similar aesthetic. A baggy t-shirt, some biker shorts and socks for her shoes. "Are you my brother?" She asked, peering up to the male. It was a dead ringer that he was gay - the elite fashion, the hand, the lip gloss -
