Viridity:
Naïve Innocence◇◇◇
"What?" I blurted out. Did I hear that correct or was I dreaming?
"You will be going to Cresent High under a different last name," my father repeated his statement but I was still staring at him as if he grew an extra head. He's gone mad. "No dad, you're insane! I want to go to Fallon high," I huffed and folded my arms across his chest. "Please do this for me? Just for a couple of months. You can find out bad information about the school for me while you learn there, it's a win for both of us," my father pleaded, separation in his voice and eyes.
"No dad, it's wrong," I stand strong even though I wanted to do anything to make him happy. But I couldn't, it was wrong. "Just imagine it, you going to the best school in the country! I'll give you a car and money, all you have to do is perform well and just tell me what they are doing so differently than me," he offered with a sly smirk. I felt as if I made a deal with the devil. His car? Now that was way convincing, my mind was telling me to scream yes but I remained silent. "I don't understand, you're doing all this because of a silly feud with Mister Harington?" I mentioned his enemy since he was attending high school. My father shifted in his seat and my eyes narrowed.
"Whatever, Verena, I just thought this was the best way for both of us to get what we wanted," my father sighed. I stay quiet and tried to accept the fact that I'm going to have to accept the deal. He's right, this would make me and my father happy. My life isn't about my boyfriend and we could still see each other even though I won't be going to Fallon's High School. "Fine, I'll do it," I admitted. He tilted his head up, the ends of his lips tilting up and his eyes visually brighten. "Thank you so much," he breathlessly spoke as we both stood to hug each other.
This is going to be worth it. You're going to love Cresent Highschool.
"How will you get me in?" I asked him. He just assumed that the school would accept me, there is hope that they won't. "I'll have one of my assistants call and you'll take your mother's maiden name," he grinned, feeling happy that things were going his way.
Varena Eliz.
I will no longer be Varena Claire. "Okay, I'm gonna get ready for bed," I lied and walked out of his office. I didn't bother telling my mother before I went back to my room because my father probably would tell her.
My finger hesitantly hovered over Hale's name. I have to tell him the news and he isn't going to like it.
Gathering enough courage I pressed the button and immediately put the call on loudspeaker since I hated holding it to my ear. "What did he say?" He eagerly asked, his voice filled with impatience and anticipation. "I'm going to Cresent High," I choked out. I was hoping to sound brave and like I didn't care about his opinion but it came out scared. "What?" Hale let out with a laugh. "I'm serious babe, he wants the best for me and you know who always wins when it comes to the war," I said softly, playing with the fur of my blanket. "So you're actually serious?" My boyfriend asked for reassurance. I sighed," yes." The line goes silent, both of us active in our thoughts. My mind was racing of his thoughts but we were strong and we will stay together no matter what. "That's actually better than nothing, we can figure out something. Right babe?" I smiled over how supportive and positive he was being. "Yes," I gushed. But the stupid fact was still screaming at me.Call me crazy but there is a feeling in my stomach and at the back of my head telling me that I'm going to regret this.
