Friday.

Covan and I walked into school hand in hand. It was a simple mistake, I swear. We arrived at school together and we were already caught up in a conversation. We didn't realize that we were holding hands and we only noticed when everyone froze to stare at us. "Well...this is great," I laughed and dropped his hand. Covan rolled his eyes and held my jaw firmly, next came his soft lips colliding with mine. My body stiffened out of utter shock that he just did that in the middle of the hallway for everyone to see.

I found myself relaxing into the kiss and I moved my lips against his. Once Covan was contented with our little show, he pulled away. Covan was a grinning idiot, he didn't take his eyes off me. I felt his thumbs graze over my reddened cheeks and his slightly swollen lips pecked mine once more before he pulled away. "I'll see you for lunch," he whispered to me, and hesitantly walked away. Like royalty, students parted the way for him. "Well fuck," I mumbled and opened my locker to throw my bag in. Once in and I shut the locker, Ellie attacked me by wrapping her arms around me in a bone-crushing hug. "E-Ellie, let go," I choked out, trying to tear her hands away.

"You're killing her, Dove," Jessie spoke and Ellie immediately set me free. "Sorry, sorry. I just haven't seen you since the crash," she mumbled. My eyes turned to Jessie cautiously, wondering what she was doing here. "What? I just came to make sure you were okay and I guess to tell you that you and Covan looked freaking hot just now," she mumbled, clearly having trouble to admit it.

That reminded me about his jersey.

Before I left Covan's house last night he insisted that I wear his jersey to the game. It was the school's jersey. On the back had his number 17 with his last name printed on the top. The front of the jersey had the school logo. I guess now that Covan dragged me into that show...it wouldn't be too bad and nerve-wracking if I wear it tonight. The only question is: Will I be able to cheer with the squad tonight?

"Hmm..yeah. Do you think I can learn the routine before the game?" I wondered nervously. Ellie and Jessie shared a look and they both copied a smirk on their faces.

"Challenge accepted."

"Hello there," Covan grinned as he wedged his way between Ellie and I. Ellie had no problem moving around so Covan can sit next to me. Immediately, he takes my hand between his larger ones and kissed my forehead. "You're mine after the game by the way," he whispered. "What!" Ellie shrieked. "She's going to the party with me! I need to make up for last time!" Ellie pouted, grabbing her fries angrily. "Nope. Ellie Claire is all mine tonight," Covan grinned and purposely stole her fries.

"Claire?" Ellie wondered. I froze midway sipping the milkshake. "Yeah. I'm Principal Claire's daughter from Fallon High," I blurted out. Covan held my hand tighter at the confession. We discussed this and I came to the conclusion that I had to tell them. There was no reason for me to keep it from them anymore.

"What!" Jessie and Ellie gasped. Preston and Covan just laughed at their outburst since they already knew. Yesterday Preston came by and he was the first to know once he realized my father and mother were also at their house. He didn't react badly since there was no reason to. I didn't harm anyone or did anything dangerous while 'undercover' as he quoted.

"Yeah, it's a long story so she had to keep it a secret for a while but it's old news now guys," Preston butt in and leaned over to steal Ellie's fries. In response, she glared at him and bent back his pinky fingers. "What the fuck Els? That fricken hurt," Preston cried, cradling his hand. "It was my pleasure," she sang and munched on her fries.

"You s-" He started.

"What is it Mr. Traye?" We all froze upon hearing Mr. Harington's voice behind us. "You suck, Ellie," he saved himself closely. "Much better. Just came to check on Verena, make sure she's okay," Mr. Harington says. After confirming I was okay he left and we all exhaled in relief. That was a close one for Preston though Covan's father wouldn't have said anything.

"And you swallow, Mr. Traye," Ellie mocked once the principal was long gone. We all bust out laughing once we quickly realized what she meant.

"You look so cute," Covan grinned while running his hands up and down my thighs. I inhale deeply while trying to control my emotions. The game was over and I managed to only slip up the choreography once. That was impressive for only learning it in a couple of hours while still attending classes. Once the game was over, of course, the royals won, Covan and I returned to his house for a movie night while the others went to the party. Everyone was smiling at me when I showed up wearing Covan's jersey. Of course, there were some girls that glared at me out of jealousy and hate.

Nevertheless, I certainly didn't regret wearing it. We had the house to ourselves so Covan insisted on making dinner instead of buying. "Hmm do I?" I wondered, pushing closer to the edge of the countertop where I sat. "Mhm, in your high socks and my shirt, you look adorably hot," Covan his dead into my neck, leaving soft feather kisses on the heated skin. My fingers automatically ran through his hair, my back arching so my chest was pressed to his. "You're such a tease," he mumbled, his fingers ran down my body. I shivered and forced myself to push him away.

Covan pouted his lips," you're no fun," he huffed. "The pasta," I scolded and he reluctantly went back to the pasta. While he did that I turned on the music to help with the silence. Covan flashed me a smile while he strained the macaroni. "I love this song," he stated and left the macaroni in the sink. "Dance with me," he insisted. Covan grabbed my hands and placed them on his shoulders then replaced them on my hips to bring us closer. I threw my head back in laughter as he started moving his waist to the music.

My head on his shoulder and arms around his torso, it was hard not to fall into the moment with Covan. "You make it so hard not to love you, Verena Claire," Covan softly mumbled, almost so soft that I barely heard him. I froze, pulling away to look him in the eyes. The strings of my heart tugged as I replayed his words over and over. "You- wh- wo- what?" I stuttered. He grinned and spun us around, my feet lifting off the ground for the turn.

"I'm in love with you, Rena," he rephrased. I forgot how to breathe. How to function. My big eyes just blankly stared at him. He actually loves me, and I love him. He loves me! I grab him by the neck and smashed our lips together, roughly pushing him into the countertop as I took control of the kiss.

"I'm in love with you, Covan."
