Let's rewind a bit. Last chapter on Bright:
You used last bit of your power to use the blood demon art, stopping your blood circulation as Nezuko's hand touched your body.
You got lit up in flames as you burned for a solid 2 minutes.
After that, the flames died down as you layed there.
Tanjiro went to check your pulse, but stopped. He was scared of what he may find out...

Tanjiro's hand extended as he went to check his brother's pulse, but...
His fingers touched thin air...
He looked confused, he looked around to where his brother could've gone.
He then looked up...
On a rooftop stood a figure, with armor, mask and a small red Cape going from the back of the head of the said person.
What unnerved Tanjiro was...
The glowing red eyes...
He saw the figure was standing next to his brother's body, so he immediately thought the worst.
He saw the figure was about to move, so he tried to intervene.
"Stop it!!!" he yelled in vain, but he was too beat up to do anything.
Tengen's eyes were wide in shock.
'That... It can't be...!' he just couldn't believe it.
He took his swords with his remaining hand, and with the strength he got left, he moved at top speed.
He appeared behind the unknown assailant, pointing his sword at him.
"What the hell... Are you doing here?!" he yelled at him, only to get a dark chuckle from the figure.
"Tengen Uzui, "The Former Shinobi", as well as one of the pillars of the demon hunters. Here I thought I'd get to see an interesting fellow, but this one caught my eye... " he said as he looked down at the body of the unconscious (Y/N).
Tengen couldn't believe such a person would make an appearance, he thought he was dead by now. But from the stories he heard, this individual is no joke...
A ninja himself, the man who mastered the way of the shadows...

Tengen went to swing his sword, but it got stopped midway by the masked ninja. He held it with his finger.
"Oh~ Don't get so excited now. I didn't come to fight humans, and even so, you're exhausted from the previous battle, not to mention you lost a hand. Not like it would've made a difference anyway..." the deep voice of the ninja was giving Tanjiro and Tengen chills.
