Chapter 18

Not a lot of time has passed as (Y/N) and Zed arrived at some sort of temple.

Zed walked towards it while (Y/N) looked around, he noticed that it was completely empty, with no signs of life.

"Where the hell are we?" he asked as Zed stopped and said.

"We're at the temple where I mastered the way of the shadows... And you will too." he said as (Y/N) cocked an eyebrow.

"Why me of everyone? Couldn't you find anyone else?" (Y/N) asked, but Zed sighed.

"I had many apprentices... But none of them managed to conquer their shadow... And they all died to Demons..." he said as (Y/N) got irritated.

"And here you are. How can you live like that while knowing that all of your pupils are dead? How can you just walk by the day without a care in the world?" (Y/N) demanded an answer.

"You're way too cocky for someone of your skill. How can you say that I go without a care in the world, when everyday I get reminded of their deaths by the Demons who roam the land?! I hunted and killed every demon who killed any one of my apprentices. That was the reason I was in the Red Light District."

(Y/N) was taken aback by the sudden outburst, but was confused.

"So wait... You came to kill the Upper Moon 6?" he asked and Zed nodded.

"Yes... My last and strongest apprentice so far... Kayn... Died fighting the Upper 6..." he said as he moved towards the temple.

"But... Not even he was able to master it... Come, I'll show you..." he said as (Y/N) followed him into the temple.

Immediately when they entered, around 10 feet away stood a big pair of doors that was giving (Y/N) a weird sensation.

"Going through these doors, you'll enter the Shadow Realm. The realm where our shadows reign... When you enter, you will only be able to leave after the realm has seen you worthy or after you conquer your shadow. Kayn managed to leave it, but he didn't conquer his shadow." Zed said as (Y/N) looked at the doors.

"Here catch." Zed said as he tossed a sword towards (Y/N), he caught it and strapped it on his left hip.

"In there time passes differently than here in the real world. From what I remember so far, 1 month in there is around 5 days here. So don't worry about taking too long." Zed stated as (Y/N) approached the doors and ran his hand on one of them.

"So... What exactly am I supposed to-" he was cut off as the doors suddenly swung open and began sucking him in.

Zed watched with amusement as (Y/N) screamed for help like a little girl.

He tried to reach out but he couldn't grab onto anything and was completely sucked in.

After (Y/N)'s body completely dissapeared, Zed went outside and around the temple.

When he approached the corner, he only glanced as he saw the row of graves that littered the ground.

Each grave had a different weapon on top of it, meaning that the weapon belonged to the one who laid there.

Zed turned around and went at the front of the temple. He sat down and with his glowing red eyes, he stared at the entrance. Waiting.

First Person P.O.V.

"AHHHHHH!!!" I fell down and hit the ground, hard.

I groaned as I sat up, I looked around as I saw that this place seemed completely new to me.
